For the real OG first Digimon, Tyrannomon weirdly didn't have as much love as other newer Digimon. It took decade for it to got RustTyrannomon and weirdly there's no main character kid that have Tyrannomon as partner (Edit: In anime. I'm aware of in video games since video games you can evolve to whatever you like). And weirdly mostly portrayed as bad even it's Data attribute.

I always have been a big fan of Tyrannomon's line. And you know what in spite of it taking a decade, I'm glad we got RustTyrannomon as the first official mega for the line. I hope we someday get MasterTyrannomon's evolution though as well as an eventual Rookie stage for the Tyrannosaur.

The true ending is the canon ending and the true ending can only be done with the moral route and the moral route is greymon I'm afraid.

I agree. The harmony route fits Takuma fairly well as he cares deeply about the safety of his friends. This would influence Agumon to take on the role of a massive dinosaur protecting his territory and all that's in it.

@@jayttabarcea yeah. Elecmon is the one they intend for his rookie for now but i strongly dislike that since elecmon is basically the eevee of digimon. His design is a mishmash of body parts and colors from all his evolutions and he evolves to a ton of stuff. He has unimon and leomons ears, veggiemon and kokatorimons tail, tyrannomons color and stripes, dolphmons stripes and little feather-like bits. He even works as a garurumon rookie. He works so well as a garurumon rookie that I suspect that elecmon might have been a scrapped idea for yamatos partner rookie kind of like how metalgreymon blue and machinedramon was the originally intended to be agumons perfect and ultimate levels before the vaccine metalgreymon and wargreymon were made for the anime. They also seem to use him in ways related to yamato as well. He became buds with patamon and takeru in adventure, evolved to blackgarurumon in savers etc. I really wish at least tyrannomon got its own rookie though. I feel elecmon fits best with leomon but digimon like unimon, tyrannomon etc should get something new. Mastertyrannomon needs a banchotyrannomon or wartyrannomon to evolve into as well. At least we have rustyrannomon. Hes pretty cool. I would love to see him fight a machinedramon in a future anime.

I used to dislike Tyrannomon in Digimon World since I'd always get him when I was trying for something else, but I grew quite fond of him outside of that game. He's now especially close to my heart since my first deck of the new Digimon card game is based around him and his evolutions.

I agree, which is part of the reason why I don't understand why people so frequently complain about him not having a unique rookie form. It kind of makes me think that people forget that in Digimon, there are numerous different paths a Digimon can take when it digivolves rather than only having 1 or 2 select choices they can become

It seems like its a combination of both MetalTyranomon and MasterTyranomon, MetalTyranomon is what happens when they "upgrade" themselves and MasterTyranomon is when it gets stronger with age. This ends up with a full cyborg that's older then dirt.

One of my favorite Digimon, all his Digivolutions and variants are very beautiful. Furthermore, it is incredible to think that, in addition to Agumon and Blackagumon, Tyrannomon can Digivolve from Chuumon (and I actually like the hypothetical Digivolutive line Chuumon-Tyrannomon-MetalTyrannomon-RustTyrannomon).

In season 1 of the dub Tyranomon has the same exact roar as Rexy from Jurassic park. I don't mean the same sound effect. It is literally the same roar. If you listen carefully you can hear a squeak at the end of the roar. That squeak is from Lex as the trex attacks her and Tim's car. The digimon dubbers literally used a sound clip from Jurassic park. You will hear it MetalGreymon's debut episode.

I get the impression that the three lines are meant to follow a theme. Tyrannomon retains organic traits all the way. Tuskmon steadily becomes more robotic. Meanwhile Greymon walks the line in between, finishing up organic but covered in armour. RustTyrannomon would probably have been seen as too similiar to Machinedramon as a result, but I quite like what they went with. Besides, Greymon/Omegamon is clearly just stuck in for publicity given its line is the franchises equivalent to Pikachu.🤷‍♂️

@@minicle426 I mean, as shown in the video, DinoRexmon already fills the role of a more organic Tyrannomon-Mega quite well, honestly, imo it's a member of the Tyrannomon-species in all but name, sharing a lot of their traits, so all they needed to do was replace Triceramon with MasterTyrannomon and that at least would've been a solid full Tyrannomon line.

Digimon need to stop fanboying Greymon too much. Tyrannomon has a lot of potential for new designs and evolutions, but being left out. We have too many Greymon evolutions and variations. The new game should focus on Tyrannomon for Takuma and a really good chance to introduce a new Ultimate (Mega) Evolution for Tyrannomon. But oh boy, they did screwed up
