As a child I asked my mother what heaven was like. She answered that it was like Sundays, worshipping God. Well, I was not allowed to play outside and I wore my best clothes on Sunday and I had to keep them clean and so, I never liked Sundays, so, after my sister explained to me what eternity was I came to the conclusion that that certainly is not what I want.

If you want to understand where Paul is coming from, watch The Good Place. They deal with this exact thing, and they come up with a beautiful solution. One of the greatest sitcoms ever, that also teaches you ethics and morality, how to deal with death and existential crises.

Everyone was dead or non existent before they were born. My guess is that we just go back to wherever we were before we were born. So why would we be afraid of that?

On the Jesus thing: Yes, if Jesus was moving away from us, even at the speed of light, the light reflecting off him would in principle make him still visible with a sensitive enough telescope. Though, as he was only 5 feet something tall, we would need a telescope the size of the solar system to see him now.

"None can keep alive his own soul." "You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore." "Everyone also to whom God has given wealth and possessions and power to enjoy them, and to accept his lot and rejoice in his toil-this is the gift of God. For he will not much remember the days of his life because God keeps him occupied with joy in his heart." The source of life knows the way of life and can keep the heart living forever. There are purposes worthy of forever; just considering what love is, eternity is trivial.

There is a counter argument that I find convincing, though I don't know who originally made it. The argument is simply that God is an infinite being, in his nature and character etc, so mathematically speaking, you would never get bored of exploring your relationship with him, which is supposedly the point of heaven. Honestly, I think that is a good enough response such that I don't make this argument anymore.

However that would pretty much make god a being of infinite attributes including contradictory ones. Not only that, it makes the assumption that people will WANT to explore God infinitely. Not just some of them, but all of them. I suppose that's the entry ticket to heaven? You have to want to explore God's infiniteness for infinity?

@@DeludedOne - That is true, you'd still need to have your mind severely reworked in multiple ways to be compatible with Heaven. Some Christians call this "sanctification", but they don't really explain why I can't simply make an informed choice about this immediately after I die: why even bother with the rigmarole here on Earth if God can just transform me after I die? I'd probably agree to it if the alternative was Hell. So why bother with Christianity here on Earth at all?

What if the tree of knowledge was to give humans eventually the choice? And the tree of life if they change their minds afterwards? And Adam and Eve were told not to take from the tree because they were too young to make that choice…

Hypothetically that could be the case, but nowhere is that implied by the text. Also, why would God even give them the option to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil if they were too young/naive to eat from it. Couldn’t he have waited until after they were mature enough?

About 80% of all medical costs are made in the last two years of life. Now given that... would you want to live forever? After all living forever means WORKING FOREVER 😰 and 'till death do us part' ... eurgh. Housing shortage? I mean, just think about the consequences of living forever 😥

@@Antony-bp2yh No difference in an eternal heaven or an eternal hell. If you had to repeat a five second loop of saying "god is great" forever then it's torture. If you got a bit more time, like 10 trillion years to talk to every person about every possible thing, in every language... then you'd still not have managed to scratch the smallest iota of even a mote of time off your divine sentence. Eternity only works and sounds acceptable if you're a naive and braindead halfwit. The concepts described in the bible are quite obviously the product of the tribes of that time.

The Trump contagion. The loss of moral agency on the topics of meaning, value, and purpose. If you were to ask in this order. Why do we exist? Why do our lives matter? And most importantly. Why are we here? You will know we are born with integrity. That is to say, we truly are made perfect. In that, we all come from a love that knows no boundaries. We bring this in each of us in equal measure. We also know we came into this world without the knowledge of fear. The evidence is the presence of innocence, our joy. We know our offspring are without judgment between a mother, a father, siblings, and a stranger. We know this is not specific to humanity but to life itself. In other species is this evidence. With this love brings a host of good deeds, kindness, generosity, and, in particular, our unconditional love. Humanity is practicing all of them, and more. This goes on despite the interferences and influences against those efforts. Our supreme desire is for our children to grow up happy and successful far from harm. Why then do we indoctrinate them to a predator's ways? Therefore, if we exist to demonstrate the truth of our birth, and we know we do not come with fear. Why is this being put in us? The love we did not teach, and they are replacing this with fear. Are we the purveyor of our souls? Doesn't our soul belong to our creator? We exist to believe this is true. Therefore, a human being's value is measured by how we embark upon life with the integrity we are given at birth. That is to say, our soul, where we believe is the existence of our identity, is emposed upon by the presence and existence of life around us. A living capsule constructed by our creator and our species is now capable of willfully changing the entirety of life in it. How, then, did so many among us become so delusional that they no longer love unconditionally and seek the destruction of mankind? Far longer than we know, we have been tested by the power of our species' imagination, and along the way, a thought led to an idea. What came next has placed in motion a belief so radical that it divides our existence to bring our eventual demise. Yet, this force can not proceed to end our existence. If there remains in our presence, a single human alive with unconditional love still in them. But, there can be no reversal of what has already come to past. We know this from our ancestors. There are numerous descriptions given by the bearers of what this force is. Yet, many continue to not dare ask who, and where did this come from, and if true what is said, where is the evidence we did not, I'll repeat, we did not create this malevolence ourselves? Truth is methodical. When there is a cause that disturbs the checks and balances in nature, there is a direct effect. If there is any contradiction said to exist from an influence, would we not investigate if this were true? Although we may know little about many processes, we are at the very least aware there is a problem in ours. Something is disturbing the equilibrium in every facet of our lives, and elemental in the decay of morals is the presence of fear. It is the acceleratant engulfing our lives. Each of us matters because our future generations are at stake. If we are indeed in some experiment, and we are saying we are living life in free will. Then, why is the pace of human destruction quickening? Mankind is reaching parity with an entity so influential, its true nature is discerned. It is not trying to hide itself anymore. It chose a man, none of us would, and their prophets made this clear. The contradictory chatter is telling us one thing, and the distractions coming at us in all directions are pummeling our attention to devalue life. Disposable and unworthy for some, most of humanity is labeled. We are told the fate of animals does not matter. They have no soul. Now, ask yourself, what has not been done to them without pointing a finger at others? The world turned a corner, and waiting for us is an inverted moral compass. What was right is now wrong, and what is wrong is right. Unconditional love is wrong, and a love taught is right. Our understanding of the universe we know little about is insignificant, compared to the grand scale in the purpose of why there is life and we are in it. As a child, our innocence gave our lives unlimitless joy until a future is taught where there will be dead to many. How can this be true, given what we know of our birth? Where then is the evidence we did not create this tempermental authority, whose fear is disguised as love? Life can not originate in a contradiction. Then, why is the source of what is destroying our integrity not questioned by each and every one of us? How can one remain honest and believe truth exists in something no one can prove is true? They can't. They become dishonest, where lying, deceit, insincerity, and harm manifest with all the other sins they pin on humanity. PART TWO Why are we here or to ask this another way? What, then, is our purpose? Is life really scripted to cull humanity, or is this some malnevolent disease spreading among minds? If life is priceless, there follows one would assume our individuality. Our unconditional love, our souls, and all of life. How can our love exist in the presence of an entity, who judges in complete contradiction to what we know from our birth? Yet, we also don't understand why predation exists. We don't know why survival takes lives. We don't know why to so many things. We have so many moral misgivings and needs that appear anathema to our unconditional love. Perhaps this is a test we are participating in. We will not be given the answers until we've left. We discovered that long ago, the way to live congruent with our present condition is to lessen the harm rather than worsen the existence. If we are to live free and joyous, we are given the wherewithal to do this. Unconditional love would never think of the opposite. Our intellect to understand better ever since we became aware of our self identity, modernity is proof of this. Yet, weaved in this fabric of progress is an alternate POV. A view so hostile against not just humanity but to all of the history of life itself. That changes our integrity and blinds us to the truth of our innocence. It removes our unconditional love before we are fully aware of our capacity to understand this world. Pawns to a malevolent force that can not be extinguished without its benefactor. If this is true, there is only one outcome, and it does not match our birth. A contradiction exists, whether believed or not. Is the consequence of behavior the outcome to a future existence. Then, how did the love we bring with us become so wrong? It didn't. We are told it lacks a moral compass. It doesn't. Is this why our innocence is taken from us so they teach another said to be love? To indoctrinate our souls to an alternate view which judges, rather than love unconditionally, and is this how we were born? What matters most in our lives is trust. Judgment casts a mindset of mistrust over the entirety of our lifespan. It is inconsistent with the truth we know from our birth, and what we give back that matters most during our lifespan is our trust in this truth about our birth. We know our souls are priceless. To return at the end of our lives without this gift we do not own, nor are we its creator, is this betrayal to what we know about our birth? A denial so profound, there must be a consequence none considered before they gave away the unconditional love they brought with them. The life we live ends with the condition our soul leaves. Trust is the essence in unconditional love, and fear is the condition not one of us is born from. When we leave, we will be asked this question. Show me the evidence of sin without pointing a finger at yourself or anyone else? This is our true judgment, and how one answers the question is the life they lived. Truth is priceless like our soul. When Jesus lived as a man, he never placed a single soul in a delimma to choose, or did he? Unconditional love will never do this. It is not your soul they want. It is the priceless gift inside they seek, for without this love, they know you can not return to where you came. It is that place that appears eternal when every baby enters this world. A place where only this love lives, and nowhere else. Each generation who protects innocent souls from the contradictions they say, the aberrations we see in our nature will begin to dissappear until no one lives in want of love. Jesus never said to worship him. He said, "I am." This does not require losing your soul but keeping it. This is the evidence you were born from eternity and where you return when you follow the love you were born from, and not the one they teach. This is the test before each of us. This is our purpose and why we are here. The next life are those who trusted their souls without knowing who or what gave them this unconditional love. 🩷🧡💚💙🩵💜❤️
