Articuno was also my second USUM wormhole shiny Legendary after Cresselia. This was a cool vid. I never attempted to hunt the Legends in this game since I had no way of getting the charm without needing to catch them and adding them to the Dex first.

You can transfer pokemon from Go right into Let's Go, and that way you can register them all to get the charm!

I should also let people know that when the legendary leaves an aura around itself like Moltres fire and Zapdos electricity it will destroy any berries that are used during the aura like at the timestamp 15:21

And Articuno's mist. When he throws the silver razz on Articuno, you can see that it never actually applies because of the aura.

Hi radiant! just so you know, the berries you threw at the birds had no effect: these birds sometime have an animation and you can see a subtle fire/ice/lightning animation that stop the berry from having an effect, iirc it disappear overtime then reappezr with a specific animation

10:04 I’ve had the same occurrence in UltraS with my Articuno. Got my shiny Latios and went looking for the next target, found Articuno, and then reset for 2 hours when it showed up.

I believe if you try to battle any of the legendsries, fail, and try again, the cutscene wont happen. I shiny hunted articuno (full odds and got him in 400 encounters) and i never saw the animation. Didnt know it existed until i watched someone else shiny hunt for it.
