Your next task: hunt every pokemon owned by a main character in the anime shiny, in their right gender/form. Example: Ash's Snivy was female, so you would have to hunt for a FEMALE shiny Snivy, not male.

I've never tried a proper hunt in LGPE I just thought the games were fine. Good for what they were, but I had no attachment to it in the way I do others, but the more I see, the more I think I should try a couple hunts on LGPE. Great video!

I feel your pain on chaining magmar (edit: or Lapras XD). It took me 5 hours and 58 minutes (and 54 catches) to get to a chain of 10 hitmonlee, not because they ran away (much though they tried) but because I kept phasing, to the point I abandoned the fourth shiny (a graveler) because I couldn’t stand the thought of starting again AGAIN 😂 in the end I got it at 10 1/2 hours and a 300 chain

I think this game got a reputation for "easy" shiny hunting because compared to the old games, it is, and even compared to SwSh it's faster since they're shiny in the overworld. But compared to Arceus or ScVi, it is NOT. 😂 Great job.

I think this is the second game to not rlly need to struggle for funds. The hunts start to pay for themselves. I reset my game and went for nidoran male and sold off all the candies but the nidoran male ones. And. Sweet cash flow.

Catch combo wise- you urself can run before a Pokemon flees and the combo does not break. Even if you go to the wrong Pokemon (or wrong shiny for some) just back out and if you have not caught it or if it has not fled the combo still stands.

You used to be able to get a catch combo of 31. Wait around and any shiny would pop up. I did a factory reset on my switch and turned off auto updates and it still doesn’t work. Maybe the past never happened

You need to watch for their flee animation, if you see it then you have to run away to keep your chain

900 caterpie omg I had bad luck with my nidoran males running from me so I stopped at a 31 combo, and found it really quick. This was before when it was thought to have increased rates whether you caught more or not, so I guess I just got REALLY lucky 😅

This is the one mainline game I just never bought because even for shiny hunting purposes, I had already gotten all of the gen 1 mons before this was out. I also just do not like its control scheme. But I can't deny just how vibrant the game is compared to all of the other Switch pokemon games. It's like they actually took advantage of the fact that it's HD. SWSH and SV just went back to the 3ds era washed out colors.

I'm currently playing LG pikachu finding a 6 31IV shiny ditto in a master ball (no luck yet) but I managed to get 17 6IV dittos and I'm only missing 12 natures to have all 25 as 6iv set & I managed to get a 4 31iv ditto with 0 in attack & speed but I'm still on the hunt for the ultimate ditto

If you ever shiny hunt again, you can sell the candies you get from the catches, if you use pokeballs I make 10-15k a time, I have 500+ of every ball now
