Luke - This is probably one of the best comparison videos I have seen. I am an older bowler (nearly 75) but watching Angel and listening to your desscription at the same time has been most helpful. Apoligies to Angel but we have similar rev rates, but I am more "spinny". That being said she really helps me underatand what I am seeing on the lanes at my age. Thank you and her. If I could throw the ball as consistantly as she does (when I was her age), it would help me even bretter understand what I am seening in my own game now. She very much enhances the ball reviews.

Hi Luke Really enjoy your reviews! Qq, the PSA on the eternity on the #15 .14 and the #14 .11. I’m personally looking at the #14 what will the difference between them as far performance.

The numbers as a whole in 14 are weaker, so a very slightly tamed down version of this reaction on paper, but maybe a bit sharper because 14s are lighter, less weight to change direction, so it's likely to be just a hair weaker, and a tad sharper on the backend.

@@LukeRosdahl Doesn't that overall weight effect have two factors that cancel out? Less mass to accelerate but a milder force from the lane pushing on the ball and thus less friction response?

Not really, 14s generally have a higher friction response. Also, with them being lighter, easier to put more speed and revs on them. The testing has been done, 14s transfer the highest amount of kinetic energy into the pins.

Angel throws that ball very good. It looks so good seeing it rolling hitting the pocket. From the other balls that was in the comparison’ when she rolling them I thought the Eternity was the best.

Wish we could do a 4 ball comparison between the eternity,absolute,altered reality and the volatility torque. The Vt has the same s84 response cover as the altered but for me on the left side handled more oil than the a.r but wasn’t as sharp of the back, nice video!

Couldn't agree more w lower strength covers reacting stronger to surface changes. Recently got some Trucut pads and tried my Super Nova at 1000, then 500, then back to fresh 2000. I'm alil speed dom and it made mild differences, in the end settled on 2000. My UFO Alert sailed on me alil to much to get much use oob. Hit it w Trucut 2000 and WOW it made a BIG difference in strength and ball reaction.

Luke, between the Eternity and Absolute which will give me a stronger roll similar to my Zen. And I was going to get a revenant to go under my zen.

The Eternity rolls heavier like the Zen does, it's more like an asymmetric Zen so would definitely suggest it. Revenant would be a great option to go under the Zen too.

Hey Luke! I recently sent this same message to Luis Napoles and thought you'd be ideal for this as well. Great video, as always. I have a thought/question for you: You, and MANY of the KZbin bowling channels that I love (Darren, Luis, B&B, Brad & Kyle, etc) routinely use a list of adjectives to describe ball motion and how it reacts down the lane. I don't know if you've ever considered this, but I feel like I can't possibly be the only one who often times does not fully understand what you are describing when you use words like "fast/slow, smoothe, rolly, tumbly, round, quicker down the lane", etc. I try and use the context to figure it out but I feel like I'm getting it all wrong sometimes. I wonder if you could do a video where you describe each of these terms while utilizing a spectrum of balls that have the reactions that show what you are describing. I know there are a lot of people out there watching that are thinking the same thing I am. Anyway, think about it and I hope you'll give it a shot. I think it would make a great video. Thanks, and keep up the great work!

It's really just that we're using regular words to describe bowling things. Fast is sharp reaction, smooth is slow reaction, etc. They aren't bowling specific words and you don't need to have a separate vocabulary, or they aren't used to describe different things than just what the word or term means in general. Other things are trickier, like tumble, chuggy, etc., but we generally explain what we mean when we use those terms. If you watch what the ball is doing when we use those terms, it should help to build familiarity. I've done terminology videos before but could probably update them though!

UC2 is in the same general zone as the Absolute, so it's going to be longer and sharper than the Eternity, especially if they're shiny

Half and half. I think the cover prep is part of it, the absolute gets weaker as it shines up, but the core DOES get a lot of work done

Yeah definitely, it's a cleaner medium strength cover, so it's not too strong, but it's sharp enough that it'll help you out in the power department.

What in the world happened to the bitrate on your facecam? Either way, great review, definitely helpful. One thing that would be amazing for me is if you could explain why one of the three of you decides not to get a ball. My game matches up best with James', so if he's not getting a ball it would be helpful to know whether it's something I should rank a bit lower as well. Thanks as always. By the way, I don't know if I ever gave you the results of resurfacing my Hyped Solid, but it definitely worked well. I went 1000 then used an old-ish 4000 pad. I have a drill attachment rather than a spinner, so I think of it as somewhere between a spinner and doing it by hand. I'm finding my Hyped Solid is now a bit stronger and a bit more continuous than my zen, so it's helpful if I need to move into the oil a bit earlier than I'd like.

I use a streaming service to record myself, and for some reason it took a dump while I was filming and I just didn't have time to go back and redo it. It's usually just a cost thing, we only get about half the balls to review and the rest we have to order. James was interested in this one, but we have to order and pay for all the Global balls, so sometimes it's more a logistics thing than an actual who wants what thing. He also has a Top Speed he likes a lot and this is virtually the same ball.

Yeah, this was one that I would have had to pay for so while I was definitely eyeing this with a lot of curiosity, I also just drilled a Top Speed about 5 weeks ago that I've been using a ton. After seeing Angel's go down the lane... the Eternity looks one million percent legit. If I didn't have a Top Speed I would have been clamoring to get one of these INSTANTLY, and if I were rebuilding my bag from scratch this would absolutely be in consideration. I might not be getting one right now, but DEFINITELY don't take that as me knocking this ball because it looks awesome.

It's nice to know, though, that one of you not being in the vid doesn't mean you wouldn't get it if circumstances were different. I've actually ordered this ball because I've seen it in a few reviews, and every review so far has been glowing, including from higher rev rates like mine. My concern at this point is that it might overlap a bit with the exotic gem. Any thoughts on that?

@@drakedbz The Exotic is stronger, definitely earlier, and chuggier overall. The reaction characteristics feel somewhat similar, but watch Charles Hutcherson from The Hype channel on his Eternity vs Exotic comparison to get a good feel for it. Exotic is earlier and stronger overall. Eternity is easier down the lane and a bit smoother I think also.

Awesome review as always! I currently bowl with a 14 lb Reality. My ball speed is on the slower side 14.5-14.8 mph. I ended up putting 5000Pd and polish. I will probably do the same when I get my Eternity. What would you say shape wise is the difference between the Reality and Eternity? It seems like the Eternity goes further down the lane...

Yep, eternity is definitely longer and a little weaker than the Reality. Yes, would recommend changing the surface when you get it!
