I read that Gold is taxed as collectibles. If I hold GLD in a Roth IRA, will I still be taxed Even if I'm just holding it not trading ?

Gold ETFs are only taxed as a collectible inside a taxable account. All the investments inside a Roth IRA grow free from capital gains (if you experience them) and the distributions are also tax-free. This is why I'm a big fan and proponent of Roth IRAs! Best, Ron
