Great video. Very informative and well presented. I invest in ETFs in after tax accounts because it eliminates the tax noise associated with mutual funds. I invest in mutual funds in tax deferred accounts because ETFs are not available in my 401(k) and they provide for automated investing in my IRA. If automated investing becomes available for ETFs, I think they are hands down the better vehicle. I realize mutual funds vs. ETFs is a very controversial subject (sarcasm intended), so I will add the qualification that it is only my opinion. We can all agree (of course) that index funds (ETF or mutual funds) are the best approach.

Hello, Let's say I have $30k to invest, will my investment return be more if for example I invested $10k each into 3 different funds like vtsax, vfiax & vigax or just invest the entire $30k into just one fund like that vtsax, will the return be pretty much the same? Assuming all those funds have same % of return and expense ratio.

For now depending on your timeframe or age.. I would keep it in one fund ie vtsax As time goes along, say 10-15 years, you could add bonds along the way.

I live in Finland and I have been investing in ETF's since I was 20. Here you can invest automatically in ETF's also. You set the ammount you want to invest monthly and on 5th of every month it will automatically buy those ETF's. Also for the change in price there is about +/-10% margin. For example you set your ammount at 1000€ and it will buy within 900-1100€ range, depending on the price.

Do you have any suggestions on how can Europeans invest in the US market?
@OurRichJourney4 жыл бұрын
Sorry - we're not familiar with how that works. BUT, we have a lot of great commenters that provide their personal experiences - many from Europe! :) Hoping those can comment below! :)

I really want to know how to do it from The Bahamas as well. No one seems to know.

I guess that is why so few normal working people here are wealthy.

I’ve become a much better investor thanks to this channel. Thank you two so much! Have you all considered creating a video on Tax Loss Harvesting? It would be extremely beneficial for everyone right now. Let me know what you think.

Question. Are Charles Schwab ETFs, such as SCHD, also free to purchase with fidelity?
