This is so cool! Ethan Bennett's character was one of my favorite parts of this show, and this edit and song choice really captures his "tragic monster" storyline. I'd love to see him in the comics too, I honestly thing he's the most compelling Clayface we've ever had (with the possible exception of Preston Payne).

Yeah I agree! And it makes me really happy to hear that someone else actually knows about Preston Payne, I actually was thinking the other day that this song would fit him but of course I can’t do him because he doesn’t appear outside comics and then I realized it could fit Ethan too and that was how I came up with the idea for this video

Hey 👋, Goblin. So, I've finally watched The Batman and movie named Batman vs Dracula. And all I can say, this was a great journey. Definitely one of the good Batman adaptations we've ever got. Sure it's not perfect, but very good in my opinion. Can't believe that this show is so forgotten among the Batman TV series. This was definitely one of the greatest DC shows I've ever watched. Even though I had some issues with episodes that came out in season 3 or 5, I still liked them, and Justice League crossover as well. And especially the cast, Kevin Michael Richardson as Joker, Tom Kenny as 🐧, Clancy Brown as Freeze, like Come On, man 😆! This cartoon now officially has my all time favorite version of the Riddler, all thanks to great voice portrayal from Freddy Krueger himself, Robert Englund. Thanks for recommending me this show. I will always remember it. ❤

They've all been great in my opinion. Ethan Bennett is a very interesting character. I really liked him from the start of the show. Cannot wait how his story will go.

I thought this was a realy great design for Clayface. A monsterous design that is not too big and bulky, unlike most interpretations that focus more on his size and strength and not on his shapeshifting powers, even though that is what makes Clayface unique compared to Batman's other villains.

I almost throw up in my mouth a little every time I see Ethan becoming deformed and the general molding around when he’s switching forms. I feel like someone who was a body horror expert animated that. While this is not my favorite Clayface, the animation for him was top notch

That was a weird reason not to include his traditional rogues. I mean Batman and Robin had Mr. Freeze and they made Mr. Freeze Sub Zero the same year. This villain does seem kind of interesting though.

Yeah it was such a weird rule. I don’t think it was around when Batman and Robin came out though, Sub Zero was actually meant to cash in on that movie. For some reason they weren’t allowed to have multiple versions of the Batman villains appearing at the same time, except for Joker I guess as well as Batman himself. Even Justice League Unlimited was affected by this, originally they were going to have some Batman villains be a part of the Secret Society in the last season like Riddler and Scarecrow but they were banned because of this show. And this show wasn’t allowed to use the villains appearing in the Dark Knight movies except for Joker

Wow. This song was a great choice for Bennett. His story arc was tragic. He just wanted to make a difference, and protect the innocent and make the city a better place. But all he received was verbal abuse from his boss (screw Rojas), Psychological abuse from Joker, exposed to joker gas and mutated into Clayface, which only drove him further into insanity. I will admit his turn back to good was rushed, but I am happy he got redeemed. I never understood the stupid rule that no character can appear in both films and TV at the same time. Do executives truly believe children to be that stupid that they cannot tell the difference?

Thanks and I agree, I do like his arc even if the redemption felt a bit forced. I don’t understand the point of this rule at all and it’s such a shame that shows like The Batman have to suffer for it.

Good job, I like Ethan a lot actually. But there are a few things that I find problematic about him, mostly just that they then decided to introduce Basil Karlo who in my opinion, was the most boring villain in the entire show, like my God you could´ve just ended Ethan´s story with him, but then they brought Basil back for some reason in the last season, like why?
