Ethan should really get a role in Star Wars, because I honestly think he would be fantastic in it. One thing is that he needs a comeback now, but furthermore, the present cast isn't really that impressive. it's solid, but there isn't really anyone who can give these fantastic performances, which you kinda remember later on. But Ethan could add that to the movie I think. He would be great as a Sith Lord, or maybe a Jedi? :)

i have to say i really disagree about the present cast not having anyone who can give fantastic performances - Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, and Oscar Isaacs are all amazing actors who gave very memorable performances, there's a reason why the new film made so much money and people are so in love with these characters, because they are memorable - Daisy and John may be on the young side and still coming into their own, but Adam and Oscar are award winning tier actors, especially Oscar Isaacs --- if Ethan does join in a Star Wars film, he'll be another one in a line of great talent who can deliver amazing performances

BetaArtemis The new film made a lot of mpney because it's Star Wars and it's Disney. I do agree that Adam Driver has that edge which, at times, makes his performnces fantastic. They basically rebooted episode 4, and went for the safe choice/ommercial choices. To me, There were greater acting performances in Episode 3: Ewan McGregor, Hayden Christensen, Natalie Portman & Ian McDiarmid delivered much more memorable (yes, Hayden did aazing in that movie) but taste is taste I guess.

Fenny Helgi making alot of money doesn't change the fact that Rey, Finn, Poe, and Kylo Ren were memorable characters that people have connected to, and that happens through performances - Ep 7 was always meant to be a soft reboot given the way general audiences have responded to the prequels, even if I love them, many don't, and thus Disney and Lucasfilm can't be blamed for taking the right and safe choice to do a soft reboot and go from there, and even if Ep 7 is similar to Ep 4, the character journey is going to places we don't know so it may be similar but it isn't the same - Ep 3 has great performances but it is also important to note that we are talking about the last movie in a trilogy, so it's rather unfair to compare where Ep 7 actors start out to where Ep 3 actors have ended, it'd be more fair to compare their performances in Ep 1

You don't look at painting to escape reality, you look at paintings to look at something beautiful, and that's exactly what Boyhood is: Beautiful. Some films aren't for everybody. I am still irritated to this day by the ending of Training Day. Gets his ass severely whooped, yet manages to jump off a roof onto a moving car and he is uninjured and able to save the day. Ending should have been Denzel getting gunned down as he pays the Russians or he pays them and he goes on his merry way. Hell, him just driving away would have been a better ending.

The idea of the movie (Boyhood) is interesting, but the movie is drab and boring. The first hour was decent but it just drags on and on. I would recommend it just to see characters grow over 12 years, but 3 hours for very little story or anything interesting to happen (and the main character is so boring) really isn't worth it.
