Politics aside, as an avid NFL fan...Kap was not as good as people say. He actually regressed into a mediocre at best QB once defenses figured him out and took what he was good at away from him. It inevitably weakens his protest. He didn't do it when he was a starting QB with a chance at championships. It came after he was exiled in shame to the bench and as a dissatisfied employee. You can't help but feel there is some disingenuous motive there to remain relevant while kind of hiding behind virtue.
