I’ve only ever had mental health hospitalization stays but I lost count after 6 or 7 and I’m now on either 11, 12, or 13. I decided against posting this because with mental health, the memory is affected but since everyone is mentioning that they’ve lost count of their medical hospital stays. Yeah, it doesn’t even matter what number it is after multiple stays so why even bother remembering. I’ve still got the paperwork and paid bill receipts in case I need to get an exact number 😂

6:20 okay, so this is exactly why I don't watch h3h3 or Ethan. He is so confidently, almost arrogantly wrong about the most random shit that doesn't matter. Yeah, surgeons try to fit surgeries in early in the day when it's feasible and everything is going okay, but they absolutely do perform surgeries throughout the day, and will even keep your ass unfed on standby for hours until conditions are better. Like, I get it's something that both sounds and feels right, that "surgeries only happen in the morning because it takes so long" but I guarantee you that is not a hard and fast rule. Yeah my partner just had a major surgery, was in intake at 12pm, didn’t go into surgery until ab 2pm, came out at 6pm, then was in the PACU until 7pm. It’s more common to do them in the morning, but I don’t understand claiming someone is lying ab it by saying they’re having an afternoon surgery.

Don’t like Ethan but sorry not sorry, Jake is in the wrong in this situation. He’s the one who started questioning the validity of Ethan’s statements of his health concerns and accusing him of lying. He also sent Ethan’s health records to a doctor to check them on Ethan’s behalf without his permission. Jake made an almost hour long video bashing Ethan and acting like he’s some medical expert capable of diagnosing other people. Jake is an absolute tool, and no one can convince me otherwise. He should be deeply ashamed of himself.

I honestly just feel bad for Jake. I don’t really know him I haven’t watched any of his videos. I only hear about him when there’s these controversies but I will say that having chronic health issues can make you act out in ways you normally wouldn’t. Whether that’s due to stress, treatments or medications. Unless you have been thru that you don’t really know how much it can affect you psychologically. Not condoning his behaviour but on top of the fact that he’s super young in his early twenties ( a time where I was acting out and saying stupid stuff on the internet) and combine that with the health stuff I’m really not surprised about how he’s acting. I know everybody wants to hold him accountable but I feel like let’s just wait and see. Give him some time to mature and go through life and hopefully get in better health, and see if he changes at all. I want to agree with this. However, Jake has a literal full-blown history of CONSTANTLY using his health problems as a "shield" from any type of negative feedback. I agree that health issues, especially "invisible" illness, can cause a person to do things they wouldn't normally do. However, being a face on social media automatically opens you up to criticism. It unfortunately comes with the territory. He literally ALWAYS uses his health issues as a means to manipulate people to feel guilty for even thinking about criticising him. Adam's take on the situation is pretty spot on. Jake had a wonderful, sweet idea by wanting to start a charity. Love that. But the amount of times he has complained about in a way that seems quite bitter, MULTIPLE TIMES, that it isn't getting the attention he wants, hating on what he does, then using his health issues to make the audience feel bad to keep from having too much backlash...it's gross. It also does a huge disservice to those creators, just people dealing with the same thing in general, out there with "invisible " illnesses that are trying to do so much for the communities they are a part of and those suffering in general. Jake has dug this hole for himself completely and any sympathy i used to have for quite a while for him has vanished. You should not feel sorry for him. He feels sorry enough for himself while having an ego that is the size of a black hole. HE THREATENED TO BLACKMAIL PEOPLE BECAUSE THEY WEREN'T DONATING. Pre-Planned surgeries do happen in the morning because anesthesia prefers you to be fasted (no food or fluids) for 8 hours. That's so when they put the tube in your throat to protect your airway during the procedure so you don't accidently have anything come up and then go into your lungs. Lungs are for air and air alone. Everything else isn't supposed to be there and it's bad if you get not air in your lungs. Afternoon, Evenings, and overnight is usually emergency surgeries like appendectomy and cholecystectomies, etc.

all my surgeries have always been morning, except for one that was supposed to be at 6am but kept getting pushed back & finally went in 7pm….i wasn’t allowed a drop of liquids or food all day bc of fasting and had to sit around in a cubical and just wait 🫠 a lot of scheduled surgeries are early in the morning as specialists will do in-clinic consults & appointments during the day.

tbh, this h3 video annoyed me, because no matter how bad someone is, it never justifies laughing about, making fun of, or questioning someone's disability (unless there's evidence of it being fraudulent), that's stooping to a new low. you can question "if you're coincidentally in this position right after posting a video so obviously made to provoke people, are you in a genuine medical emergency at the moment? or are you playing up in this moment to evade backlash? do you think you should take time off the internet if you're not doing well and avoid making these blunders?" etc, a genuine question. but it should stay there and not be taken the way h3 did. remember to still be a decent human being even if you're angry with someone...but eh, I'm not surprised if klein is kinda ableist

As someone with a chronic illness (including lymes), I can say that times of stress will flare up your symptoms to the point where you may need to be hospitalized. If he was feeling particularly stressed with his nonprofit and then the video he wrongly put out, it can make it worse... which ties it into his video in the hospital. Not saying Jake's response is correct, but viewers implying people cant talk about their illness by claiming he is falling back on his illness all the time is simply wrong as they aren't seeing his life and his health overall.... just food for thought
