Ralph has the brain of a teen girl, at best, as a man in his late 30s. You can tell because of how he goes after his enemies' wives/girlfriends/etc. so often, in the most petty ways possible too. It's a very womanly thing to do to go after another woman's appearance unprompted, Ralph does this at any opportunity. Sometimes just in the middle of an unrelated fight. "Well, your wife is a fat cow!" I think his own childish insecurity is related to these things and that's probably why he just resorts to seething death threats.
