Pardon for this being long, but I’ve only noticed now during this stream that Ralph’s face when clean shaven is very babyish. He looks almost identical to a five year old boy even, with the frightened eyes of a child. For how awful Ralph has become Ronnie must’ve been ten times worse; with him beating his wife while screaming at Ralph to HIDE ‘N WATCH ME and putting puppies in the oven when his son wanted to help them and God only knows what else. Ralph’s face is the perfect expression of who he is as a person; nothing more than a scared little boy. I mean it sincerely when I say I think he hasn’t aged a day. He never stopped being that kid in the corner. He’s trapped in time, forever stuck in that house with Ronnie, never able to leave. All his bullying and projection are reflections of his father; I have no doubt that his OPDD stems from a desire to spite him. Him killing his classmate’s dog, his binging on booze and drugs, the spousal abuse and blackmail, this need to “always go lower” is a childish idea that if he can become the monster he won’t have to be scared anymore. Because he’s scared of everything, and hates everything, and despite how much he wants help he just cannot help himself but to attack anyone who tries to get close out of fear and anger. He’s desperate to be loved, but any hand that reaches out is pulled in to drown. But it gets worse. ”There’s years I hardly remember because of the Xanax”. Ralph is so desperate to escape his father and his life that he started binging on drugs to numb his pain. And yet, just like a child, he couldn’t understand the consequences of those actions, the reason behind the limits or the side effects from exceeding them. The deepest memories are often the earliest ones, and so by overdosing on Xanax, he didn’t erase his Father, he erased the rest of his life and what happy memories he did have. It was around that point he started lashing out far far more, becoming more paranoid and flying into piggy rage fits at the drop of a hat. His split personalities developing in different ways to cope with his nightmare of a life. “Rent free” does not do it justice. His mind was dominated by his daddy. That’s why he keeps trying to find new, “real internet daddies”, why he clung to Daddy Jim, he wants someone to finally give him that fatherly love he craves and the realization that that was a absurd parasocial fantasy drove him to tears. And yet it gets worse. Because now we know he hallucinates. Likely around the point where he fled to Mexico, Ralph’s mind was so melted by Xanax that he didn’t just have his thoughts dominated by his Father, I think he was starting to actually see every person he interacted with as his father. Anyone he talked with looked like Ronnie. He burned every single bridge he had left to burn with all his friends and supporters that were left, because even one wrong word or misinterpretation sent Ralph spiraling into thoughts of his Father and he had to take them out. And then it manages to get even worse. Because after his lost his Horse, we discovered he had developed Internal Family Syndrome. I don’t think Ralph has headmates of himself. I think he has a headmate of his Father. I think his mind is so beyond repair that his brain damage has finally culminated in him managing to make a perfect replica of Ronnie Ralph come to life. He has made his mental nightmare become truly material to him. There is no escape for him. His own actions has trapped him in a never ending torment, and his mental hallucinations of his Father hound him every second of every day, mocking and judging him along with the rest of the internet to the point that he’s terrified to even go outside now. He never grew up. He never knew what to do. He was too childish, too simple, to understand. To learn what good is, what common decency means, or just even how to let go. His Xanax has practically given Ralph early onset dementia, his perception of time has slowed to a crawl with minutes into days and I have no doubt that as his mind collapses and his memories are destroyed the only thing remaining at the center is that house with his Father. Where he will spend the rest of his life. Forever. Not to view him sympathetically, as Ralph is still a horrible monster of a person and a lot of his childish choices are also his own fault for not being able to just let anything go, but like good lord his life is the bleakest form of misery imaginable. I don’t think there’s anything more horrifying than what he turned into. It’’s like he’s living in Silent Hill.

I would've felt a fraction of pity for Ralph if not for 2 things: 1. He hurt too many people during his life. As much as fuckups Faith and Meigh were, they and their families didn't deserve all the shit Ralph put them through. 2. As soon as Ralph thinks he holds even a bit of power over someone, he acts in the most ugly way possible. He's like a stereotypical schoolyard bully, abusing people weaker than him, then pissing his pants as soon as he gets some pushback.
