Getting assent forms in India is very difficult. It depends on the type of study and place (Urban vs Rural). Hospital-based studies especially on acute infections are even more difficult. It's been 10 years since this lecture? and I don't think it has changed much in getting study assents. One reason is that most studies are PG or PhD based where resources are limited. Once faculties start giving primary focus on clinical research than just warming up their chairs things may change. Consent for Retrospective studies can be given by the Ethics committee

Wrong..chloroquine resistance was very high very early ..it is a risky study..what about hepatic stage.Chloroquine resistance was seen very early ..1995 it may be published..you might ignored grey literature🤔
