This series has been amazing…Mike Crawley’s book should be on every runners reading list, a brilliant, insightful read.

Awesome content, Love the videos that you put out from Africa / Ethiopia. Totally off subject but you look a little anemic. Could be the camera, But maybe get your B12 - iron ferritin and folate checked. Keep up the great work.

4:40 I don't know if I speak for a lot of people, but I WANT that monotonous run on the road. I want the flat, straight, even and long road where I can run faster and enjoy myself. BUT where I live you can't just run on the roads unless you are very very brave person, there isn't much flat areas, most sidewalks are a trip hazard. What I mean to say is I get plenty of uneven, curvy, up and down running without ever step a foot inside a forest :D
@ludehndorff4thchannel3052 жыл бұрын
Wish you a safe journey. Let's hope you won't grab so much ankle injuries in the try to negotiate those curves and uneven courses
@kylestephens95932 жыл бұрын
@@ludehndorff4thchannel305 hah, thanks. btw in the beginning i was wearing high stack shoes and they are bitch for negotiating curves and bumps. had to switch to old school racing flats.

The pace is not 7 per km. Anyone can see that. The stride and the cadence it's like 5, at least

You describe the place as very steep and lots of twists and turns. But they are running through something which is nearly flat and almost as open as a field in practice. Antisocial is the wrong word use there - the correct word is asocial. Huge difference. Antisocial people are the ones who fight others. Asocial people stay away from others entirely but do not necessarily fight. At least you mentioned team Nike this time. There is no Ethiopia ... it's all Nike. It's been that way for longer than you or I have been alive. Observation, observation, observation ! Most people go through most of their lives in a trance state. I automatically was doing my easy runs the same way they are doing here. Didn't need an Olympic coach for that ... maybe I could make a neat coach... heh. Varied loops in a smaller area for time until you feel good only makes sooo much sense. It's super efficient. That is why I came to it - ever forward.

Even an complete amateur realizes that the pace is definitely not 7min/km. At least 5 and I think it's even faster. Much of the way they go under 4 per km. For sure. The more I watch the faster they go! Jajajajaja
@akremamara83492 жыл бұрын
I was watching the whole video saying the same thing in my mind. No way that was a 7min/km at the beginning. Even the 4.43min/km looked faster than that. Only the cool down looked like a legit 7min/km pace.
@NicoakaRedCat2 жыл бұрын
they start at 7mn/km and accelerate progressively to finish with an average of 4.43mn/km

Bullshit !Just remember, Altitude never helped Ethiopians in winning. Bolivia's capital Lapaz, peru's capital Lima, and the Swith Alps are at significantly higher altitude than beautiful Addis Ababa. Only the training is hard and very disciplined in Ethiopia. I dont rememberof at the top of my head a Bolivian or peruvian Gold winner; may be the BBC will tell us after they .... Ethiopia's name around the world.
