Most of the time I spent testing the pack I just got lost looking at all the beautiful sights. The shaders do a lot of work, but they are helped by other mods too. BiomesO'Plenty and a few other mods add a ton of variety to the plants and biomes to explore (around 100 different unique biomes). Also very important is the mod Quark which tweaks biome colors to make everything look more green and alive.

Ethos, you should try to take advantage of those underground rock golems and how they attack other mobs and figure out a early simple mob farm. That cave is a PERFECT start to a mob farm already. It's a flat and only 4 blocks tall. 80% of building the farm is already done by the natural generation of the cave

Not to mention if he just has a cart hopper system or possibly a modded way to gather items it’s fully automated since those mobs will keep spawning even if some of them die from the other mobs

Even if a mob farm with the golem wouldn't work it should with regular or alternative methods that are probably simpler. Thinking about it, the golem might be hard to keep from getting hit. Maybe his reach could be taken advantage of though.

From the sound it made, I believe it was a Cachalot Whale from Alex's Mobs. It's understandable that he'd ignore it if he's familiar with the mod (such as while testing the pack out before starting the series), since they aren't really useful when first starting a playthrough (and they don't attack you unless you hurt them first).

Hey Etho just a couple points of advice The default handle you get with Tetra is worse than wood and different types of planks have different stats You can equip the backpack as a bauble so it doesn't use the armor slot Also you should probably add whatever the WAILA equivalent is for 1.16 that adds a lot of helpful tool tips including what mod adds what

For tetra weapons, i recommend slotting in a pristine lapis to make honing easier (unnecessary for tools, since it's easier to train them), until you maxed it. Also swapping parts removes enchants, so I do recommend enchanting before tetra-ing. In fact I would even recommend getting your weapons with the best material in your pack first, enchant and then tetra it.

Did you know if you click the silver circle on the top left of your inventory it'll open up a sort of accessories menu. You can place the backpack on your back without having to sacrifice your chest plate and continue to access it with ctrl+e !

For me, it was terrafirmapunk, but those mods were so unstable, but Etho was able to make the best of all of those mods. You can even see his terrafirmapunk buildings in his LP even

Etho holy crap, so excited for this series. Been waiting for you to do a modded playhtrough for ages, hope you enjoy it! Given how long you tend to play each world, I suggest you add some QoL mods such as WAYLA/One Probe, Veinminer and especially some sort of inventory manager like AE2 or RS. Refined Storage is amazing in 1.16, you could really get deep into that and do some fun automation.

Etho, ive been watching since lets play Minecraft season 1 across multiple accounts. As a kid i put hundreds and hundreds of hours in the og etho mod pack. I was looking through my subs today and saw i was lnt subscribed to you anymore so i immediately went to your channel to discover my favorite series is back and its honestly making me very nostalgic and emotional. @@Klffsj I can see that and I definitely support that playstyle if that's what he's going for. I think The One Probe is a good compromise here because he can make it so he has to be holding the probe to see the HUD element. It would be good for those "What the _heck_ is _that_?!" moments.
