I just got into the SansAmp PSA-1 that's included with ProTools. I was trying to get clean tight metal and rock sounds without the woof and the muddiness and all the noise. I was able to dial in anything I wanted to hear from the cleanest crystal clear clean sound to the most brutal overdrive beyond anything bogner soldano whatever. I was so inspired I stayed up till 3am just playing random shit to explore the harmonics and punch of the PSA-1. I'm probably going to pull the trigger on the new PSA-2 pedal. I wish someone like you (that can play) would demo that pre-amp. I was fiddling with Amplitube and decided to check out the PSA-1 and it destroyed the Amplitube 5 with some plugins in Protools. I'm still completely blown away. It's the best recording sound I could hope for without having to do anything but plug in a pedal and go.
@ShawnTubbs15 күн бұрын
That SansAmp PSA plugin is cool. I actually use it for my bass tracks.

Such an outstanding pedal amp. 2 channels, massive versatility, excellent cab sim out (and simultaneous norm out). Doesn't take much else. I'm currently working on a rig that may wind up being just 2 Fractal VP4s (1 pre- and 1 post-). It takes drive pedals really well, and the fx loop is wonderful. Running stereo effects after the cab sim out is very effective.

And, I have been wrong about the PAB. It wouldn't be global since it's taking out the tone stack. Very cool. The HRM can be used a global boost if you want, whereas I use it to change to sound.
