The sea-style creatures in the Sea of Clouds following a much larger thing around reminds me of pilot fish that hang around sharks. Also, dolphins that follow ships. Either way, I agree that those types aren't creatures from the void.

I find this particular instance more interesting than WoD from a lore perspective. Thematically, WoD felt tacked on and disjointed from the previous 2 instances. I still liked it and I know they had nostalgic constraints to work with. Here's to looking forward to more of these.

If you consider the islands in the Sea of Clouds are pretty much riddled with green-coloured (air?) crystal, it's pretty much a given that Bismarck eats them to replenish his Eather.

I love your lore videos on FFXIV/Heavensward. I hate Void Ark as a dungeon/raid, but I love the lore and story behind it. Would you consider adding a subtitle option on the videos? You talk fairly quickly at times (lots of info to talk about, after all), and I have trouble processing auditory information. I'm sure I'm not the only one with auditory issues. In the meantime, I'll prolly watch this a couple times to try to retain the information, cause what I was able to process was really interesting. Keep it up!

On SotR you mentioned that the 3rd boss of the void ark, i can't spell it's name, was also an esper in FF12. In FF12 weren't the espers the opposite or something of the Ascians? Do you think that connection applies in FF14 as well since we see Belias in the SMN story line and he was an esper in FF12 as well?

Hrm, there needs to be a bit more research, I only did some superficial one. But I forget the name of the lead engineer of the Void Ark and Cait Sith's master, but her name, too, is form Irish lore. In fact, part of Irish lore that appropriated christian lore, instead of the other way around. Basically when Noah made his ark, she saw what was going on and went "None of that two animals of each kind nonsense, i'm making one to save my people" and built not, but /two/ arks, and once the floods came led her people to the island. Of the two arks, only one of them survived the travel.

Awesome video as usual but I think you might be digging a bit too far to find meaning in "Ma(r)lboro". It's the name of a popular cigarette brand and that would also explain the whole "bad breath" concept
