I enjoyed this from the very first words: “Welcome to Terminal 4”. You must have been there a thousand times …. It’s just that you’re usually underneath it 😂😂

TfL should fit forward facing cams to their Underground fleet, particularly new trains on the Picc Line. Might need some post-editing for commentary by someone experienced.
@dalecharmantravels805727 күн бұрын
I’m not sure if the new trains will have forward facing cameras. I think they are a good idea for incidents

Good video. I enjoyed the voiceover commentary on this video instead of everything being spoken on camera. Especially for the bits in the check-in area and walking around the terminal. Even in business or first class, there will be times when commentating aloud would be awkward and a voiceover might be better.
@dalecharmantravels805727 күн бұрын
It is some thing I want to do more. I just need to ensure I have enough footage to add the voice over on

Another interesting real world perspective on something I'm unlikely to ever do. I would quite like to try a380 and for comparison though, I did a short hop on a dreamliner Edinburgh Dublin a few years back and it seemed awfully rattly and riddled with technical faults. So, as I say, would be quite interesting to try this for comparison as I personally prefer Airbus products
@dalecharmantravels805722 күн бұрын
I think airbus do make a great product. Boeing has gone down hill. The 777 is not bad and of cause the queen of the skies the 747. Not that many are left in passenger service
@danielpiggins842922 күн бұрын
@dalecharmantravels8057 I've only ever flown one of those, back about 2005 2006. There used to be an Edinburgh to London British airways shuttle that used a 747 partly due to capacity required on a weekend morning but also as a positioning move for the aircraft and I happen to use that flight once, lovely machine.

Hey dale, you are looking well. Thank you for posting these lovely vids… nice to get away from the world for 15 mins! Did you get any footage of Abu whilst you was out there? Be great to see it if you do! We need a tour guide around the world with Dale Charman!

Suggestion. If you can't film your Piccadilly Line journeys, why not do audio only versions (your yabbing may come in handy after all - LOL). Just put up some stills for decoration. Another idea (probably harder to do) is film all the stations on the line, esp any quirky ones.
@oober200428 күн бұрын
Like the idea of audio of Dale driving and chatting. The knowledge and insight to behind the scenes is excellent when paying attention. But recently I've found playing his Piccadilly line videos quietly in the background while trying to sleep so therapeutic. Great shout.
@dalecharmantravels805727 күн бұрын
It is some thing I do intend to do. I need to build up some stock footage of things ( that are not taken from the front of the train) to add a visual for people. I also intend in the new year to start filming some stations from a passengers point of view
@danielpiggins842924 күн бұрын
Having the commentary and general chatback will just be wonderful if it's at all possible, as you can see, we all really miss it and wonder if a few more videos from your car on your commutes might be a compromise in the short term as as I say, we're all missing hearing from you regularly
@stulop26 күн бұрын
We travelled back with Singapore on the A380, lower deck row 68. I can hear that whining noise that is mostly on, sometimes off and completely disappears on descent. Fuel transfer pumps? Would have been murder without the noise cancelling headphones. Anyone booking, try to keep away from that noise, it cuts like a knife..

Compared to other airports you have been in, terminal 4 looked dingy and old to me. Or am l just in a crabby mood? Not sure that 6 and a half hours in that seat would be very comfirtable either, compared to your first class journeys. lt is valuable that you show us these air trips, so we know what to expect for our money.Looking forward to the return trip.
