I will always feel that drama alert was a main factor in Etika’s passing. A lot more outside people started calling Etika a clown after his story was covered and especially after his interview. It certainly didn’t help that most comments from new viewers in chat clowned on him as well, creating that distrust between him and his real fans. After Etika I immediately was turned off by Keemstar’s content. I know that us fans were told to drop the hate for Keemstar, but like; how am I supposed to not feel hate for a man who knew Etika was unwell, and still thought it would be a good idea to put him on the spot like that. Keem was really trying to dodge the heat too by saying all sorts of shit like, “he sounded fine on the phone before the interview.” You can even see on twitter nowadays how Keem likes to bait drama between himself and other Internet personalities such as Ethan Klein. Long story short, Keemstar likes to instigate drama for his own benefit. Idk... it’s the day after Etika’s birthday rn and I just felt like I needed to rant...

That makes little sense. Besides the fact that it's incredibly out of character for Erika to sacrifice his channel and a large portion of his fanbase for money, he was put in a mental hospital. He later cleared things up on his stream. He claimed it was a combination of stress, irritation, and the realization that he was exerting a false image that led to a mental breakdown. At least that's my best summary.

@@aias7981 Think about it Etika said this was a rebirth by destroying his old channel in protest of being prohibited from using the N word. We all know the protest did jack diddly, which means Keemstar probably paid Etika to do this charade in the form of a startup on a new channel so keemstar gains some of the fans of Etika. Not to mention Keemstar was early to tweeting at Etika when the channel was terminated.

If it was a stunt he would have realized that he would effectively be permanently ending his career on KZbin. I will admit though, I think Keemstar blew this up larger than it needed to be. Etika wasn't in the right mind those couple of days. Personally, I don't see how someone would throw away their job, their community, and something they love to get paid by someone he hardly knows.
