With this rack on a 2023 Toyota Rav4, the channel you have your hand on at 12:30 is right in front of the backup camera, when the rack is folded up against the back of the car, so that channel blocks much of the view, making backing up unsafe. So I removed that channel (by loosening 2 screws). With it removed, it's trickier to roll a bike off & on in that outer position, but the backup camera is now much less occluded. PS: thank you for the helpful video.

The piece you removed isn't structural, so removing it won't affect the strength of the rack. It'll just make it a bit more difficult to install and remove the outer-most bike. If you're fine with it, we're fine with it! You're very welcome, and we're happy the video was helpful! www.etrailer.com/Hitch-Bike-Racks/Hollywood-Racks/HLY66ZR.html

this was awesome. Very clear and thorough. I have only 1 ebike now, the nomad 1. So will be using that bike on this ramp. I looked at a lot of the competitors, and this seemed great.

I have this rack and I put my two Aventon e-bikes on it( aventure 2 fat tire and level 2 commuter). It works great. Just took it on a 150 mile trip. I was worried about the weight, it has 140 lb capacity and I was at 139. I could have taken the batteries out, but it was no problem. Very solid.

Glad to hear the rack is working well for you! It probably wouldn't be the worst idea in the world to remove the batteries unless it's a complete PITA. www.etrailer.com/Hitch-Bike-Racks/Hollywood-Racks/HLY66ZR.html

Real good review thank you. This rack looks a little complicated. Like my Rockymount better but it didn't have trays or ramp for my heavy cruiser ebike. My emtb has a wb of 50.5: so this might now work for that anyway.

Hi AJ Do you make a longer ramp? I have a truck with a 8" Lift.

How would the main clamps attach to a Step-through ebike?
@etrailerАй бұрын
The clamps are fully adjustable. They can slide up, down or across the uprights they're attached to, they can also rotate as well. For a step through frame, you can adjust the clamp location so it picks up the seat post tube. Hope that helps! www.etrailer.com/Hitch-Bike-Racks/Hollywood-Racks/HLY66ZR.html

Just received this rack from you guys. Included there is a non removable bolt for the outside bike frame grabber. Why would you want to use this option instead of the removable clamp?

Great video and review!! I really like this rack but for the price, I'm bummed I still have to use a strap. I was hoping to avoid straps. When it's tilted down, can I open a truck tailgate?
@etrailer2 жыл бұрын
On most trucks you can get the tailgate almost all the way down before it touches. www.etrailer.com/Hitch-Bike-Racks/Hollywood-Racks/HLY66ZR.html

I like the rack, but can't get that lock off the hitch pin. I've got a request in for help right now but I really just want to take a hammer to that lock.
@etrailer2 жыл бұрын
You will need to turn the key and pull on the lock in order to remove it. You may have to wiggle the lock a bit for it to slide off. www.etrailer.com/Hitch-Bike-Racks/Hollywood-Racks/HLY66ZR.html

Please tell me which of the 3 racks would be best suitable for us older folks. I have an F-150 pick-up truck and a small motorhome. I prefer the racks with the ramp because my e-bikes weigh 60lbs. apiece.

This bike rack is a great option for hauling your e-bikes on the hitch of your truck, It'll also work on a Class B motorhome/ camper van. Check out the following link to see this bike rack on our website! www.etrailer.com/Hitch-Bike-Racks/Hollywood-Racks/HLY66ZR.html

Is this rack rated for a couple 80 lb ebikes?
@etrailer2 жыл бұрын
The weight capacity for this bike rack is 70 lbs per bike. Check out the Hollywood Rack Sport Rider SE bike rack in the following link. It is rated for 80 lbs per bike. www.etrailer.com/Hitch-Bike-Racks/Hollywood-Racks/HLY84FR.html

Couldn't have actual e-bikes because why?
@Thereformedpropagandist6 ай бұрын
Horrible that it only holds 70lbs. They could have cornered the market. There isn’t a single solution for 2 80lb bikes with tailgate access and holds over 3” tires. I’m forced into a $1600-2300 solution from 1up or rigd
@etrailer6 ай бұрын
We've got the solution you're looking for. The Hollywood Racks SE2, part # HLY84FR would check all the boxes you mentioned. The rack will handle two bikes weighing up to 80 lbs each and it'll tilt rearward for easier access to the cargo area of your vehicle. The wheel hoops will handle tires up to 5 inches wide, and the rack costs a fraction of the price point you mentioned. You can check it out by using the link below: www.etrailer.com/Hitch-Bike-Racks/Hollywood-Racks/HLY84FR.html
