@@jeremyburlingame6248 Well this is EO that is the hardest for me. The HP of bosses is so high that you're likely to run out of TP during boss battles during early game. Also this is the game where the buffs and debuff has diminishing returns. The story mode has a dreadful combo of classes unlike the the first Untold game. The story characters have fixed growth rates so you cannot use them in other classes. For example Bertrand and his tank stats. I find him worthless and just spams Shield skills.

Peter .Chobot I say that as if it's always going to be better then SAO. When I say "probably" It leans more then 50% of it being better. Unless you want me to say 'highly probable". Also SAO is pretty trash in my opinion. But seeing these types of games makes you wonder if they would be better then SAO if it they were made into an anime.

While the idea of an Etrian odyssey anime is intreasting, i have some reservations about it. Many of the the things that made me like the characters was running around the labyrinth and seeing how they react to the situations they find themselves in. I feel like this might be something that might be lost in the transition from game to anime. But iT could work who knows, Hell if I do

+Jesse Rich Eh, I didn't feel like any of the "spoilers" made much sense out of context. Excepting the fight with Wilhelm and Artelind, which were new to people who hadn't played EO2, everything here was pretty much non-spoiling. I feel like the interest in stuff like Wilhelm and Artelind was more the "why" rather than the fact of the fight, since that part was moreso "new" or at least fleshed out.

Meh, if you've played enough Atlus games you already know their basic formula. By now I expect to fight everyone not glued to a shop. And most animated openings for games have at least one boss in them, the question is always "where will I fight it?"

+Neon Black I did. I ended up purchasing Etrian Odyssey Millenium Girl as well as an E-Download from the Nintendo store. The game was on sale for about 15$ or something. I ended up purchasing a lot of other RPG's IE Bravely Second: End Layer.

+4ksandknives 3DS is the system for RPGs right now. So many good ones. If you liked Etrian Odyssey I'd recommend checking out some other Atlus games since they generally follow a similar formula. The Shin Megami games and spinoffs (Persona, Soul Hackers, etc.) are excellent, but just hard as nails.

+Neon Black need to get into persona, but I have a bunch of titles already. I have legend of legacy, tales of eternia, fire emblem awakening, both etrian titles, bravely default, and bravely second. There might be a few others, but so far, I think bravely second has the best combination of classes, and game play. I think story is pretty good across the board.

Atlus game are not hard to find. I found persona q and persona 5 actively in one try. I found etrian odyssey 1 by accident on a hack rom cartridge and like it. I didn't bother looking for EO 2 & 3 because EO4 was the most recent one released; got the special edition. I found the remakes of EO1 & 2 without actively looking for them. If EO3 untold get revealed I'll get it. I am planning to get EO5.

Each game follows a separate story and is not connected in a set order. So yes you can pick it up and play it fine. The game does a good job explaining everything to you.

Given the color of the vials she's throwing, I think she's throwing Fire/Ice/Volt Formulas from the Alchemist class. It would make sense, she does start with a Fire Formula grimoire if my memory serves me right (I don't have my 3DS right now to check).

Actually Chloe is a War Magus. Chloe, Flavio, and Bertrand are all using Etrian Odyssey 2 classes. Chloe is a War Magus, Bertrand is a Protector, and Flavio is a Survivalist. The Fafnir Knight has his own unique class made specifically for this game, and Arianna is a part of the Sovereign/Princess class from EO3.

I mean, the war magus rituals are required for them to not eat meat. Chloe loves meat. So maybe she found a way to condense the rituals and contain them in vials? I mean there is one part in the animation that may support this. The part where she opens a vial and the contents disperse into the air.
