I have used this exact setup, but change from "Range" to "Splitter". Basically, instead of 1,2,3,4,5, for the first range, it will put even and odd numbers in each range. You don't need 1st gear, you can start from 2ns gear. If need be, on a heavy load you can switch to odd numbers and use it. I only ever use 1st and 11th to get going. You will have 2,4,6,8, and 12 all in one place instead.

I mean press your shifter in while in neutral. Let's try this little test... Put your palm on top of the shifter. By that I mean open your hand wide and place the center of your palm on the top of the shifter. Keep your hand open and fingers stretched. Now apply pressure downwards repeatedly while keeping shifter perfectly centered. Do you feel the shifter move in to itself? Every time you apply pressure the shiftershould 'move in' or 'go down' about an inch. Do you feel that play it has? Good. Now comes the best part. Apply pressure again but this time close your hand on the shifter and KEEP THE PRESSURE APPLIED DOWNWARDS. Now as the shifter is fully down, move it slowly into 6th gear remember you have to keep the shifter forced 'in' or 'down' into itself. If you've done this correctly while your truck is running, you will now be in Reverse and you will hear a beeping sound! Congratulations you have now successfully turned 6th gear into reverse gear!

I have spent over 30 minutes now, trying to find the "range" key in the options. I had it set to the "share" button on the g29, which is a horrible place to have it. Most times when you start giong, you have to turn, but then it was too hard to hit the range key since the "share" key is basically in the middle. "Shifter toggle: 1" is definitely not the one I thought was range, they should definitely change it! Thanks a lot!

Great video, but for those of us with zero idea what these words mean, it would help saying where first gear is, second, third, and so on. Also, some of us never drove a manual. Help us out, I’m sitting at my game, engine roaring, I mash the clutch, and then what? Where is first gear for the rig to go. Where is reverse. That’d help a lot.

At 3:36 and on I show how to shift gears. Watch my right hand.... I go from 1st to 2nd to 3rd and so on. 1st gear top left, 2nd gear bottom left, 3rd top middle, 4th bottom middle, 5th top right 6th gear is bottom right. (6th gear also acts as Reverse if you push shifter downwards as you slide it in gear.) Better yet watch KZbin TUTORIALS ON HOW TO SHIFT MANUAL 6 speed transmission. So many out there.

got it, but now a new problem: I just switched from the two pedals that came with T150 Racing Wheel to the 3TPA add on. Simple connect to where the two pedal was previously connected. Now I can’t set the steering axis and the clutch axis. Throttle and brake work fine. Any suggestions there?

Great video! I am running into an issue where I set the shifter toggle to L3 as you did but when I press L3 it jumps to 13th gear and skips gears 7-12. Have you encountered this before/

Anything higher than a 12 speed transmissions (13 or more) uses 3 sets of gears, not 2, so you need to set shift toggle 1 to any button on your steering wheel AND THEN shift toggle 2 to any button on your steering wheel to rotate between the 3 sets of gears. Check my pinned comment for a better understanding of the 3 sets of gears.

I don't think you can because you would need a clutch axis to switch each gear and that is not possible on a keyboard

In the game's control settings menu you can switch the 'Shifter Toggle 1' or 'Shifter Toggle 2' to any button that works for you on your steering wheel.

i have weird issue , every time plug my g29 and set it up , once i join the game and try to start the truck it does not work , like the car start the engine then its stops again , also when i press the speed pedal the truck starts the engine and then stop again the car starts only when i hit the 3rd pedal but once i remove my leg from it the truck starts to stop again , car only works without the shifters . this issue happens when im trying to use the shifter can i know what is the problem ?

You have to learn to drive manual shifting with clutch. My advice to u is to switch to automatic shifting in-game for now until someone teaches u manual.

Yes you can always switch to neutral in any gear stage... just move your shifter to the middle and it will show 'neutral'

Go to 'Options' then 'Controls' and make sure u have 'Logitech g27' selected then use 'Input Wizard' located at bottom right to complete your setup.
