Yeah :) They were testing the electrification catenary (overhead wire) systems to make sure they can fully power the trains operating on both lines using the same substation for power at any one an area of track.

What you see here is the two most important jobs: the two dudes holding the stop signs on the sidewalk.

This one has 2 cabs unlike the Eglinton LRT which has 1 cab per unit.

Plus its two sections longer! I like the increased length of 7 units (Eglington and Waterloo have 5) and even with that extra length, will still operate as two-cars (two LRVs) long during rush hour, which will be awesome to see!

That's a lot of squeaking goin' on for something that hasn't had one paying customer yet.

That's actually quite common and to be expected, especially with new vehicles on a new track going into a curve, and actually helps build traction. Nonetheless, you usually see this fade overtime as the vehicles are 'broken-in' just like a new car :)
