This is incredibly satisfying to watch. I know you are an extremely busy person but you need to offer one on one classes or something.

I know I have a lot to learn on the video making front. It's really hard to film yourself with muddy hands.

Beautiful glazes. I haven’t been brave enough to mix my own glazes yet! This may give me the courage. Thanks for sharing!

You should try it! It's just like when you're mixing one of those fancy cake recipes and they demand you use a scale to get the exact amount of flour. Tedious, but totally doable.

You are so good! What brand of pottery wheel do you use?

I have two fairly inexpensive wheels. The one I throw on is the Shimp VL Lite and I love that wheel! The one I trim on is the starter wheel I got on amazon. It's not amazing, but it's still going strong after 3 years. After the first two weeks of throwing on it I ordered the Shimpo. There's a large difference between the $300 wheels and the $800 ones.

Are you making any money selling those dishes for 10$ with free shipping? I've sold 100 3d printed items for 10$ without free shipping and it was like 700$ after all expenses. Which is not that much considering time spent. In your case it should be even less than that cos shipping is not free for you and I assume you ship in a small box.

What a timely question! I just uploaded a video in which I show my exact Etsy numbers for this year so far: kzbin.info/www/bejne/epOqp6xrh7x7ZpY In short, I make a little money... depends on your perspective.

The algorithm just dropped your channel on me today. You're providing some very good tips that are definitely geared for the experienced potter. I have a few Hansen 20X5s on hand, and Joe's Floating Blue is probably my favorite. I haven't layered the 2 yet, but it's nice to know that they play well together on B-mix5. I notice you only brushed on a single layer of FB. Did you add a brushing medium or are you relying solely on high specific gravity? ⚱

Hey, I am glad the algorithm threw me in your path! So the Gerstley Borate in the floating blue makes it naturally more like pudding at 150sg... I know I could deflocculate that to make it more of a dipping glaze... but since I know it needs to go on so thick, I tend to leave it in its natural pudding state. In the video, some of the water has evaporated from my bucket. I bet it's more like 160sg right now, but as you know, that one is a pain to test because of the viscosity. As far as brushing mediums... if you're referring to something like CMC gum... I only use that in Chun Seafoam.
