I found NUMEROUS shops selling Fruit Roll-ups…like the processed boxed fruit snacks for kids. They weren’t making them themselves, literally selling the box we can go to the store and pick up here in the US 🤦‍♀️ Sellers like that make me sick. There are tons of other places to sell that type of thing. They’re listing their crap and causing us handmade sellers massive issues. Idk why Etsy isn’t kicking these out.

@@PamDuthie No I haven't, and I don't think I will because, honestly, I don't have many sales, so I was happy to sell something :) But I made sure to go to the marketing area in my shop and turn the code off, I don't know how it got on on the first place because I don't recall doing it LOL

I would love for their to be variations for digital products. Many times I would like to offer a choice so I only have the one listing verses 24 listings for just different images to do with the same topic. Thanks

I looked under gift mode for cheese lover and literally everything in the first section was ali express crap. "hand made" cheese knives for $10. "handmade" wooden cheese sets for $12 with 24 pieces. I reported them all and they all still stand. Etsy SAYS one thing but does another.

When I reopen my online store, I was planning of having a reopening sale if I reopen my etsy shop, so I guess it kind of says you can say buy $50 of goods and get 10%, 20%, 50%, off type of deal, I don't recall it being a thing in 2016 or 2018, etc so it's cool.. They are also not showing an “on sale” tag when you are in search either….it shows the full price and you don’t even see the sale price till it is in the cart.

When I see "popular now" or "trending now" I just assume those are the products they are pushing, like the color of the year "berry". Bestseller is more definitive.

My son was pointing out tons of stuff from Alli or whatever it is. I see soooo many that have Comfort Colors at like $9.00 but they have it as the XS which Comfort Colors doesn't carry, that's scammy sales too.

@@PamDuthie yes, they do not carry XS in adult's I worked out of my home for 3 years, I know so many of these brands, and so many of these sellers are putting it SOLD OUT at like 8.99 lol it's working for them but I'm too honest, I can't sleep at night deceiving people.

Hi Pam, The Issue with India selling within India may well be because of their currency; I expect to see more of this as more countries join BRICS and begin trading in their own currency rather than the USD. India trades in the Rupee now inside of their own country and with the other BRICS nations. It may just be that currency conversion in a country with such a large population is not financially beneficial.

Thanks Pam. I'm still confused by the duplicate listing thing. I have often heard advice about doing A/B testing on single items to see which titles/tags/photos/etc are effective. But surely that is creating duplicate listings for a product in the shop? If you keep the same photos and descriptions then that would violate Etsy's policies. Should we be doing A/B testing? Oh boy! Things in the world are definitely getting harder. Enjoy your fun thing 😀

As far as I can see so far duplicate listings are not violating policies, the issue is whether it is OK for the algorithm or not - and I will let you know as soon as I know

Between the lines I read thay do not recommend this. Maybe it is not violetion...how I understand it, duplicate if you offer other colors or any kinde of variation. Exactly the same listing are not what thay recommend. Maybe there is no impact on ranking and search but I do not belive Etsy will say yes duplicate exactly the same item. Sorry on my english, my vocabulare is limited.

Even Josh said there is too many similar listings, so I would not be surprised thay put something in T&s in near future about duplicating exactly same listing. Honesty, I tried it also but with diffent photos and personaly I have nothing againt it.

Thank you for the informative video! I have a question: how can I report a store that is using my photos without permission? I am the content owner, but the store seems fraudulent, and I am hesitant to report it under my own name. I noticed that the store also uses a lot of Disney content. Could I report them for that instead?

You can kind of report the listings to Etsy, from the listing page, but the trademark owner is better to report them. Etsy can really only do a takedown if the correct person reports it I am really sorry someone is using your images, you should be able to report these under DMCA - if you google Etsy DMCA you will see how to do it

I dont think it has really started yet. Honestly I think it is most likely their sales dropped because of other factors. I dont feel it will tank your sales because they are only changing the title in some places and only changing it a little so I dont think it should hurt what you have But, if you rely on your Etsy income then perhaps I wouldnt try it. If you are quiet just now then it cant hurt
