Recently lost my grandma, my family doesn't talk to me. I've been on my own for 6 years and I'm 25 years old. I just went through a breakup and I live 3,000 miles away from anybody that's a blood relative. This year I lost my grandma, mother, and sister. The darkness I’ve walked alone, I hope that no one has to struggle through. I still go through it, constantly, daily. Same for me man my wife was pregnant and I was doing just enough to get by and get high or drunk .....I caught that vid at 4 am drunk laying on my bathroom floor after throwing up I cried in self pity and disgust for 2 hours but I watched it four times because I knew there was something that needed to click and it did I went to work by 7 that day and 3 am I was on site the next haven't looked back I'm no millionaire but I'm wealthy beyond material at this point I found all the stuff that made my good memories and started doing them again now I find joy in the simplest of things like how my daughter talks or draws pictures its amazing what changing your perception will do

I went in the bathroom at work and prayed. I meditated in silence for 20 minutes until I heard words. I asked for guidance with clarity. They sent me this message on KZbin. It made so much of the things I thought were important leave my mind... and prioritize the growth of the soul. Nothing in this life is real. The only real thing is your soul. On August 13th I have a hearing for custody of my son. Unfortunately I won't be able to see him till September I pray to God it can be sooner than that. RN He's one and 9 months. NEVER will I EVER give up on my baby!! Thank you for all the motivation !! On Father's day I wasn't even able to see my son because she wasn't letting me and hasn't let me since my mistake I made. Because of Covid-19 the court's were closed and now I have mediation after my hearing and I'm the petitioner in our son's custody case. I just want to be able to raise my son & to support him. I missed his first crawl, first words, first steps, first birthday, first of many things. But I have GOD by my side & I can't give up. The system is horrible on father's. Especially the ones who fight for custody. I pray to God one day soon it can all be equal so no one can suffer like I did. Thank you all for your support ❤️

When my daughter was going into her senior year in high school she told me “dad, don’t let me get my degree before you do.” That really hit me in the chest. I’ve attempted to complete my undergrad at least 3 times in the past 25 years. I took the challenge from my daughter seriously. I’m now a 47 year old junior in college and my daughter is a 19 year old sophomore. My plan is to complete my undergrad then complete my masters. I now realize that it’s not about the degree. It’s about the academic example and baseline that I set for my children and who I am becoming during this process. This guy reminds me of one of my old coworkers. Not just because they have the same facial structure and posture, but also he has the same demeanor and outlook on life. We were at the bottom, we were line cooks at a restaurant. But he always talked about life, where yoi are, and where you end up. And how much control you actually do have over it, if you put in the effort required. I make 60k/yr now and about to be making almost 200k a year. I'm grateful for Mr. Thomas. My life has turned 180 degrees once I listened to "Pain is Temporary" in 2013. I had been wallowing in despair before with dwindling grades , but now I've turned the tables into a promising medical career. I would never have imagined in my wildest dreams that I would be sitting now, writing my first research paper. I will give every ounce of energy it takes during this self-imposed all-nighter. No averageness allowed.
