Could you give a lesson (if not already) on how to learn to play without constantly staring at the fretboard? You seem to be one of the few guitarists - even among professionals - who seem to manage it effortlessly.

Good suggestion for a lesson, I'll make one. For now, there a few factors regarding looking at the left hand. Technique practice of course, playing in strict positions and confident shifts. I practiced tons of technique with both looking and not looking (often looking at first until muscle memory allowed me to look away). Music theory plus technique (knowing the distance of frets in relation to the shifts or key). I also studied some jazz so know my scale, chord, and arpeggio patterns somewhat well. Sight reading ability: I studied reading every book I could and also played lots of gigs where I would partially sight read in public. Plus, I taught a large studio of students for around 20 years and played tons of chamber music so that was a ton of repertoire that I would read through regularly and couldn't memorize. Think of me playing along with 30 students and all their repertoire (think 200 pieces weekly and countless other exercises and method books). The website and channel here are the same, since I put out videos once a week I can't possibly memorize everything so I'm reading in my performance out of necessity. You should know, that when I play memorized repertoire I do look over a bit.

nimble fingers comes to mind.

I'd say it's more about hand positions. In this one I did have to do some review practice to keep the hand aligned so the fingers could relax more and access the notes more easily.
