EU foreign ministers discuss new Syrian leadership

The EU's new foreign policy chief has said there should be no place for Russia and Iran in a new Syria. Kaja Kallas, the former Estonian prime minister, said the EU's top diplomat for the country had travelled to Damascus today to begin talks with the interim government there. Ms Kallas was chairing her first meeting of EU foreign ministers in Brussels, including the Tánaiste Micheál Martin.
