The city of Goslar has a flag similar to the yellow-black flag of the Habsburg Empire and is also the birthplace of Emperor Henry IV of Franconia, so form Franconia and Vassallize (or make non existent) all the tags with an Habsburg at the throne

So Belem in Brazil is the capital of Pará and was the first fort the Portuguese built on the Amazon river. It was name after the freguesia ( like a neighbourhood in lisbon) in which the tower of Belem is. Both are named in honour of the city of belem in The levant (today in Palestine) that is the city of Bethlehem in English.

Fun fact, the state of Georgia and the island of South Georgia have nothing to do with the country of Georgia. They were called Georgia because the english king was named Georges at the time (Georges II for the state, Georges III for the island), while the country of Georgia came from the persian word Gurgan meaning wolf, because the persians that gave the infos to the europeans map calld that area "land of wolves". Georgians themselves call their country Sakartvelo, land of Kartvelians. But nobody asked them how we should call the land where they live :p And that area seems to be very fond of homonyms, because before beng called Georgia, they were called Iberia, like the peninsula, and no one knows why XD

Goslar kinda sounds like goose, and you know what is similar to a goose? That's right a turkey. And Turkey is ruled by the Ottomans. Therefore you must reunite the fowl and conquer the Ottomans.

As Golsar, conquer or subjugate Raslog; since Raslog is Goslar, spelled backwards. Granted this might be difficult to do, since you'll need to conquer all the provinces required to form Raslog, release them as a subject, cancel vassalization, and wait for admin tech 20.

I really like the challange of just owning your domestic region. You dont really blob out, but you are kinda wide. You can get like 4 vasals in all directions and it makes the map look so nice. And then colonise and its my wet dream. I loved uniting Ireland in only their island and going full colonial!

@@buivars Actually city names change a lot depending on language. See Pequim (Portuguese), Peking (German), Beijing (English), Pechino (Italian), Pékin (French). This is even portrayed in EU4 in some land names that change depending on its owner.

Hey Hawk, are you planning to come back to formable nations? If you have a problem with showcasing them, you can do some heavy cutting before their formation. Start your video by showing the initial setup, tell us about the plan, and then make a timeskip to the moment where you form the country in question. From there on you could set up some challenge like in A to Z, which would help showing their potential, for example forming Germany with Prussian space marines

Actually as Georgia, or any other nations that is small and you now you will have an early war, you should only take the +1 mana from the estates and then after the war you will have close to 20% crownland because of low estates influence.

The Ottomans at the end of your game looks super strong. Lmao Egypt, Libya, the Levant, Iraq, Syria, all the Balkans and Hungary plus Romania and Moldova.

I’m 6 months late but nocb on Jolof would not work. Georgia is in Europe. You need to nocb and make a vassal that is at least adjacent to a province you want to take on your continent. So something like vassalizing Sale and then getting Granada (assuming Castile did not yet). Or starting from Western Europe, vassalizing shirvan and taking Dagestan. These are edge cases though and euiv will give you inexplicable headaches, it’s best that both are on your same continent. Also then you would likely use the vassal’s cb and then occupy the land yourself. You’d be surprised with colonial range, I tried the idea of colonizing from Norway as Muscovy, believing that’s the best chance to reach America for them. Instead, I was able to reach arguin/w. Africa from Achaea. In this same vein, the knights are S tier for colonization. They can speed run exploration, get malta from Aragon, colonize the canaries before Iberians, and reach the Americas.

Imagine not spawning Renaissance on Kakheti but on the mountains instead *cries* I played Georgia in 1.34 and one time I was allied with Muscovy but that didn't stop the Ottomans and all my allies left me to die. Had to restart and I focused on allying the Ottomans' allies to hopefully discourage them from attacking me and it might've worked in my current run. Fought them off twice (without dying) and am now expanding into Persia and Central Asia.

Wouldn't make more sense to change the capital to somewhere easier to develop? Also, couldn't you fleet basin Portugal or Castille in order to anchor your explorer and send him in a shorter path, avoiding losing the ships? It does cost money, but I think it's worth it to help your exploration to happen a little sooner

Surprised the Ottomans didn't pounce on you. Did a Georgia game recently and Muscovy did nothing to deter the Quantity Ottomans, and it was impossible to get any other allies. feels like Muscovy is just really weak when allied to the player.

@@johnroach9026 Because the AI helps each other, but the player *rarely* helps AI in their wars. So when you're fighting them, they have a bunch of allies that commit resources. While their allied with you, they have a dead weight ally who does *nothing* but leech off them.
