In this video titled EU4 A to Z - I CONQUERED Britain As A LANDLOCKED German OPM I play as Saxe-Lauenburg in Europa Universalis 4 1.37 Winds of Change. This is the series titled A to Z where I attempt to play every* nation in EU4 in alphabetical order. Of course I had to remove some nations so the challenge doesn't get too boring. In this video I play as the nation of Saxe-Lauenburg and I attempt to conquer the entire region of Britain. So, let's see if I managed to do it! I hope you guys enjoy this series. I had tried for this 3 times and not been able to do it 'smartly'. In the end I had to go HRE Emp and pretty much conquest my way over. If Hawk could do this in 150 years ( the average play time ) I would be very impressed.

22:00 Autonomous Rebel Suppression also means that your army reduces the Unrest 5x as effectively. One 20 stack can reduce unrest by the cap of 5 in 5 different provinces, instead of just 1.

Just fyi 1.37.3 messed up the manual call to arms (the one that happens in the war dec is working fine) for both the player and the AI. That's likely why England didn't join Gelre in that war but managed to stay allied. Might be worth rolling back to 1.37.2 so it doesn't ruin your game.

you said at 19:47 you arent "real" saxon but lower saxon. the lower saxons were the ones that conquered england back then. they were the true saxon but due to hre shenanigans the title of saxony shifted to the east. so true saxons are the lower saxons

FYI when you use the autonomous rebel suppression each of your stacks get extra suppression strength. A small stack can give you the maximum 5 unrest reduction over entire areas very easily

I feel obligated to mention I am from Lauenburg! Beautiful historic old city by the elbe, not so beautiful new part of the city, but that's okay. If you're ever in the area I recommend visiting or at least stopping for an hour or two when passing through and taking a stroll through the old city and looking at the Maria Magdalenen Kirche (just a evangelic-lutheran church, but some history) and the Elbschifffahrtsmuseum (museum of naval shipping on the elbe). I've always wanted to see a bigger youtube take on my home town :D

Yes. When I play, I try to avoid the Burgundian inheritance. It doesn’t feel like accomplishing anything yourself and game gets too easy after it.

Hello Red Hawk, excellent video as always. However that is not what I'm here to primarily say, I'm here to talk about the Syrian situation. Basically in releasebles you once landed on Syria, but then the King of Kings update came along and Syria was no longer a releasable nation, thus you said that you would play as it in A-Z, however Syria does not have unique ideas, so how exactly are you going to play as them? Are you going to just skip Syria or would you play it?

17:23 the problem with golden ages being linked with historical times is how ahistorical things get. The ottomans having a golden age at the height of their power makes sense, but because of what players do, the height of any player empire will always be in the future. The best way for goldenages would probably be to add a condition that you need to own all of your cores. Besides that it would be nice to see some modifiers survive against bigger opponents better (like the golden age in EU4)

20:20 I’ve noticed that sometimes the allies of AI nations don’t get called immediately. There’s a slight delay but they do eventually join. I had one war where one ally was called immediately, the second joined a couple days later, the third one a week or two after that. It has happened to me 2 or 3 times total so it’s not super common. The still being allied part is what makes me think that’s what happened in your game too.
