EU4 but COLONIAL REGIONS are EXPANDED!

In today's Europa Universalis IV (EU4 1.36 King of Kings) we will be allowing many more colonies to form via a mod that expands colonial regions and thus the number of possible colonies for nations that colonize. Exploration and Expansion will be much more important and conquest oversees in former trade company regions will be much more independent

At 12:50 Spain didn't have African colonies earlier because their land was all connected. At this time stamp someone took Gibraltar, cutting them in half making all the African land now "overseas" making colonial nations

It is nearly impossible for Europeans to establish a presence in places like India or Indochina and this has been the case since Rule of Britannia or something

As it currently stands too, having colonial nations in these regions is damaging as well. There isn't any easy ways to join wars to protect your vassals as of currently, or at least the AI is quite bad at it. Additionally, you can't enforce peace against a GP attacking your vassal, meaning you can't join the war at all. Bring back being able to guarantee them tbh.

I find it funny that jaunpur forms delhi after conquering them and later when they get conquered by sirhind, sirhind forms delhi. I think the delhi tag was cursed this run😂

Video idea not sure how entertaining this would be but change colonisers like spain, Portugal etc(maybe even Britain and france) not take exploration ideas for first few idea groups(maybe up to 3rd or 4th) then make it so coastal german/Italian states aswell as maybe north African states take it first and also gain extra range so they can actually colonize. Would be interesting to see if normal colonizer do well or get dominated by not having access to colonys

Great video! I don't think the mod effects really kicked in, but the AI brought enough chaos without them. Feature request for this mod: to make colonial nations "stick" better, how about letting them call in Daddy when they get attacked?

Almost every large AI empire collapses. The commonwealth did also this video, the Europeans lose all of their colonies. And Ottoman, like everyone else, also collapse. It is normal. That's how it's supposed to be. There's nothing to fix.

@@ShiningLight ai cant handle decadence and it is serious. i always see ottomans collapse in my games. they cant deal with 50 percent more tech and idea cost debuff. as a player you rock but ai is not player.

Do a video where all regions outside of Europe for European unless they are Russians using Siberian frontiers. Become colonies so if France were to conquer five provinces in Algeria that would become French Algeria so on and so forth be it in Asia or Africa.
