I think to get those branching parts of the mission tree you need to get the "Future of Danzig" event, which is triggered by fulfilling the mission "The Estates' Loyalty" (left-most on the 2nd row). It's a shame you didn't notice it because it's easy to do (you just need all 3 estates at 60 loyalty and to be at peace).

i think to progress down the left half of the tree, you need to complete "The Estates' Loyalty," which triggers an event that lets you choose which path you want. i know it doesn't show up as linked in the tree, but i'm pretty sure that is actually the prereq.

I know that part 2's don't perform as well on youtube, but this is probably the first time I have felt this disappointed the video was already over! I feel like with the mission tree, and without forming Prussia, it could make for a really exciting continuation. good video as always!

Play Verden->Hanover->Purssia and stack absolutely every single fire reduction modifier possible, -15% Hanoverian idea, -10% divine ideas, -20% Prussian age boost, -25% drill, -70% total

ottomans dev diary looked crazy. i feel like the balancing they tried to do where they're stronger but easier to break is good, but i feel like the nerfs weren't strong enough to counter-balance how much better they are.

Since the community is so split on this one, i for one love having a challenging Ottomans. Why haven't they added a "difficulty" slider for all the Major powers/Lucky nations in Eu4 yet is beyond me. Like in Hoi4 you can empower specific nations instead of just choosing overall difficulty or adding lucky nations vs none vs random. So people can choose their challenge and set up more unique games.

As a Champasak move your capital to a clove island and dev it to 30 production, so the province produces 6*8=48ducats worth of cloves.

About declaring war on PL/HU PU 17:56 , when you declare war on a lesser PU member it automatically changes war leader to a "PU leader" (it propably works the same way with vassals and colonies I think) so it is possible like it happened here to declare war on Poland, drag in countries that were willing to join on your side (against PU member) and then call to arms countries that were willing to join the war against PU leader (as PU leader becomes the war leader).

It is important to note that if your capital is in colonial region you can probably declare war on colony without overlord enforcing peace on you

@@k.a.2253 Yes, that's true, declaring war on colony while having capital in New World means that you only fight given colony (unless their overlord use Enforce Peace mechanic and join the war as war leader on their side I think)

Just had to try Soyo for myself: worked first time but it was super tough. Dev-ed Feudalism but no chance to tech up before annexation started forcing an Independence war without any allies. Extra dev slowed process down enough to get two mercenary companies up as part of an 11k army with a 6-2-1-2 general. Even so, I only narrowly won the main fight because I was defending.

I wonder why independence wars are “called in with promise of land” shouldn’t it be they just want to weaken their rivals? I’ve never seen Novgorod expand, ever. This looks exactly like my TO-Prussia campaign.

Its okay to not blob big before 1500. The current thought about how you have to blob as fast as possible to get as big as possible in the shortest amount of time is crazy. All mechanics and situations that are meant or just happen to slow down infinite fighting are seen as annoying randomness but why not just accept that it takes abit more time. If we all just accept that going abit slower is okay then maybe we will have some more fun games going more in the lategame.

I released Danzig to form prussia and do the 40k achievement. It was only after I got 40,000 marines that I realised that you couldn't get that achievement with a releasable. Not a complete waste cos it was fun

There's a bug blocking the mission trees. Pretty sure you need to move your capitol to somewhere out the Prussia states, unstate everything in Prussia, restate everything and then move your capitol back to Danzig

The year of 1525 was quite turbulent. Austria, worried about Danzig's sudden and rapid growth, gave Danzig a warning. If they declared war on another country they would step in. This caused resentment in the Danzig nobility. As an act of spite, they declared their official faith would shift to Protestants, and conversion would begin. This only further angered Austria, and the two former allies became bitter enemies. Muscovy, however, didn't truly care all that much, and thus they remained close. As the years passed, Lithuania was shrunk further by Danzig, until their country was near bordering both seas. Hungary, due to constant attacks from the Ottoman Empire and from Danzig, was eventually taken in a Personal Union by Austria. In 1592, tensions between the Catholic faith and Protestants reached the boiling point, and the war of the Faiths in the HRE was declared. With Danzig, Bohemia, and Brandenburg, the war was won by the Protestants in 1600. In 1602, with increasing aggression from Denmark due to the weakening of the HRE, and equally increasing relations to Danzig, Brandenburg and the remnants of Pomerania asked for help from Danzig to protect them, who agreed to take them as a Personal Union. It was a prosperous time. Still bitter from losing their Baltic holdings, they declared war regardless. With aid from the newly formed Russia, Denmark was beaten, Norway released. Emboldened by this, Sweden soon declared war and took the southern holdings, leaving Denmark heavily weakened. To the north, Sweden took the far north from Norway in exchange for copper and other trade goods, helping them rebuild and reform the country, as well as become close friends, with plotting being done to form together. in 1650, Sweden took Norway as a Personal Union, and Brandenburg and Pomerania were integrated. With these providences, Danzig felt it was time for a rename to Prussia. It was only two years later when Russia was attacked by the Ottoman Empire. With the aid from Sweden and Norway, and the newly minted Prussia, a tough war was fought. However, the war was won. With Bulgaria released, the collapse of the Ottoman Empire was underway. In 1712, Norway was annexed by Sweden, and Denmark had fallen to a Personal Union under them for protection from Mecklenburg, who was expanding in their borders. In 1754, tensions between Britain and their colonies in the Americas caused them to revolt and break away. Feeling bold by Britain's apparent waning strength, the Swedish sought to take the northern most islands of Britain. A hard fought war was raged, but England managed to prevail. Denmark, seeing their weakened state, tried to break free, however they lacked the manpower, alliances, and resources of Sweden so ultimately were unsuccessful. In 1810, with Denmark nearly completely reliant on Sweden for manpower and money, and the slowly increasing friendship between the two, along with an increasing demand for a switch to a democratic government, Denmark was integrated as a part of Scandinavia. A parliament was established, though the crown remained as a seat, albeit with no true power. Initially it was simply to help ease any who were concerned or against the transition, however due to this the Crown of Sweden still exists to this day. Danzig had a swift conquest of northern Germany in the mean time, uniting half of the Germanic lands under their direct control. This worried the French and English, who began discussing with Russia, who wanted some lands the Prussians held. Austria held on to the Personal Union with Hungary, eventually annexing them. Soon after, discussions with them about taking Bohemian lands in a war. However they were hesitant. Eventually Danzig had conquered all of the Germanic lands and war was declared on Austria in 1910. Austria begged and pleaded with Britain and France to help, which they obliged. Russia had declared on them as well, wanting some of Prussia's eastern holdings. Wanting their lands back, the Ottomans declared on Russia, joining with Prussia in the war. Prussia asked Spain to help, promising lands from France, however they were dealing with uprisings in their colonial holdings and thus couldn't help. The combined might of Russia, France, and Britain were enough to defeat Prussia and the Ottoman Empire. England taking much of the Ottoman's holdings in Egypt, and France taking what is Libya today. Russia took much of the Baltics, and Bulgaria was given much of Greece, while Austria-Hungary took the majority of the Balkan lands. The Prussian empire was forced to adopt a democratic regime, and for their name to change to Germany to reduce any national pride in their past. In 1965, Egypt declared independence, and shortly after Libya did the same. Sorry, it just... ran through my head of like "What would the world look like if this was reality"...

Maybe you must get Nuemark and Mittlemark? Thankfully Bran is reformed so at least you dont have religious coalition. And for other you must get pomerania so you must go in HRE.

One thing here is that for Danzig, you get most of Teutonic Order and Polish alliance (AS A VASSAL) by event in 1460 so you can actually just chill until 1460, then use free polish alliance (which behaves as if they will support independence) and just takee all of teutonic order land.

This is not the Teutonic Order’s tree. Danzig has a tree for itself. As for the missing events, I guess you have to be a vassal of the PLC
