@@Roland.Deschain yeah because in 1821 the revolution against the ottomans started but if I remember correctly the independence came in 1832 or something

​@@ΠορφυρόςΑετός I always thought it was 1820. I´m Turkish, i may get wrong with the correct year of Greek independence. BTW, game ends at 1821. I think that´s why he stopped the time-lapse, or the game ends here so it stopped by itself.

​@@Roland.Deschain the revolution officially started on the 25th of March 1821 - in 1828 we assigned our first governor to our territory, Ioannis Kapodistrias, and in 1832 the Ottoman Empire recognised our independence (Kapodistrias died in 1831, so ig this means he never was in charge of the country officially because no one recognised us then)

@@giokun100 their guides only help with the start but never go over long term strats. I could make byzantium survive and take back the main cores but then the ottomans still get powerful enough to stomp me, even with austria and hungary as allies.

@@nichl474 I restored the EASTERN Roman Empire, at it's Justinian borders. Eastern Rome= Byzantium.

@@giokun100 Byzantium's official name was the "Roman Empire". They never called themselves "Byzantium", that's just a name made up by modern historians. So therefore the Byzantine Empire never had any glory because they said they were the Roman Empire & you failed to restore the Roman Empire
