Great to see you again, Ian! It's been a while since your last video. Hope you had a great summer. I miss the great adventures you and Jon used to go about. Think I've watched the 1000-miler 3 times all the way through. I still have my 2 V8's a V10F and a KS18XL. All still working fine and I have no interest at all going off on one of those off roads jumping beast that seems to keep all the manufacturers busy. I like the kind of rides you were talking about here. The ones where you don't need to kit up, you enjoy the glide and go for an icecream. Thanks for the video, brings back a lot of memories! I think I saw your V8 review 10 times before buying one. =)

Hi Ian, sooo good to see you again. It brings me back the memory of your "Mega pack" 100 miles ninebot and your riding with Jon. Just good old days. BTW, My first and favorite wheel is also a small one, a 67 volts mcm5. I ride it since 2019 and it's now about 6500 km (about 4000 miles). Riding a small wheel always makes me feel so happy😁.

I'm watching from the USA, thanks for the video, but I bought the V8F in mid 2020, enjoyed its ergonomic commuting manners; size, weight, pickup kill switch, & trolley handle design. Small wheels are awesome! I have a 16x and S22pro but I recently bought a 14D for my wife to ride on and I love it. It lives in my car and we both ride it constantly. The 14D and probably a 16S would in reality fit 99% of use cases.

Remember it, I have two, both from you probably. Well a Ninebot One E+ anyway. The Ninebot is my last mile wheel, I ride them quite a lot, parking out of town and riding in. It's funny how having only intended to ride it into town how I have gone further. The Ninebot was a brilliant wheel to learn on, it's still the only wheel I can ride backwards (well sort of). Another great thing about the Ninebot is that its not intimidating for other people if you are riding near them. It is also IP rated to IP55, read it a weep more modern wheels. I still wear a cycle helmet and wrist guards. The Ninebot One E+ still have my vote even today when I own a 16X, S18 and a Master as well.

I know what you mean about the "care-free" wheel. I've had my V8 for 6 years and I ride it almost everyday, but its so slow and manageable I've never worn a helmet or geared up to ride. Is that an E or E+ ? I had an E and its "ride mode" felt extremely "soft". I still ride very old wheels but not this old. Still extremely capable and useful. They're safe as long as you stay within the limits. As they age you don't go near max speed/torque/wattage.

The V8F wouldn't be as comfortable as the Ninebot E+ because the E+ has comfortable side padding which is important. Also wheels now are way too big & bulky. The Kingsong KS16s is what the Ninebot E+ should be.I now have the Gotway/Begode RS19 HS & it's nowhere near as good build quality wise as the Ninebot, (but much faster) The Ninebot has Apple build quality,

The V8F for me with the calf muscle height positioning of the side pads is more comfortable, only because my conditioning has long gone on my ankles (they hurt today after that ride lol). KS16s heavier but similar form factor and miles quicker, cracking wheel!
