Big lover of groceries too… for me I think it’s a nostalgia thing for me, especially at this time of year. Growing up I’d end up going with my mom for the weekly shop after school. I loved seeing the new items, particularly seasonal ones. In college I’d walk to the Trader Joe’s in my college town to destress by just looking around and seeing what was new. I was at a Ralph’s yesterday (which you’re 100% right about it simply being Kroger) and I smelled, as I always do, the Tuscany candles, assuming as always that they’d all be ghastly. Some were… they have some flannel scent that should be condemned. But I was really pleasantly surprised with one called Crushed Leaves and Football which smelled neither like the scent listed nor its scent notes to me. Granted, I still didn’t buy.

Yep - still some pretty atrocious options. But where there is a wider variety of Tuscany candles, you’ll see some good ones now!

Yes, more Yankee Candle Serita, still my favorite brand as I have plenty to burn lol. However, I made some Tuscany candle purchases at the outlets as of late. Ross just got YC's Evening Riverwalk, Golden Autumn, Farm Fresh Peach, Chocolate Chip Cannoli, and Salted Caramel candles in. Had to get the last three mentioned again. I picked up Tuscany's Pumpkin Bread, Pumpkin Patch, White Pumpkin, Pumpkin Donuts, Sweet Maple Butter, and Pumpkin Pie. Ross last week had YC's Autumn Nature Walk, Cardamom Nut Muffin, and Scentworx Warm Apple Pie. I did find their Pumpkin Spice there too. I agree that Yankee does need to do better with their throws and scent combinations. This Christmas season, Bath and Body Works will be getting Vanilla Eggnog and Cookie Butter Truffle according to their test store in Ohio. They already have them out. I wrote down 33 scents that they have due to some videos on here that I watched lol. Happy hunting. Oh, one more thing, I did find at Ross Tuscany's Citrus & Sage in a medium two-wick apothecary jar, it will be burned this Christmastime.

I love grocery shopping too! There was a point in my life when I was a single mom and had to lean on my local food shelf.. I’d get random rolls of toilet paper and rice that would come in sandwich bags. Although I was very grateful, it was not enjoyable to say the least. Now all these years later, I still love and appreciate being able to choose from all of the different brands, taking items off the shelf..putting them back.. I can relate😊 It’s so satisfying.

I love grocery shopping too! No curbside or delivery for me! PS: I got a limited edition Tuscany at my grocery store in Texas, HEB, called Cozy Fireside Marshmallow recently & it smells divine.

Absolutely fabulous! I thoroughly enjoyed this video! I will add to the compliments you've already received from others. We have similar scent preferences, so I look forward to your reviews. First of all, I appreciate that you have a great vocabulary and give fantastic, detailed descriptions. I'm not a fan of reviewers who will only compare to another candle or wax without detail for those of us unfamiliar with said candle or wax. Secondly, because you are not beholden to any particular company, you are not at all a groupie. You tell it like it is and provide an authentic review. Finally, you are entertaining. Do you ever get around to burning the small 3.5 oz paraffin Colonial candles? I’d think those are up your alley, plus they only last 20 hours so you can get through them easily. I’ve become a fan 😂

Ironic that you mention Kroger and potential anti-trust. They are currently trying to buy Albertsons/Safeway in my area and we are NOT happy! One less choice means 1 brand, few options. Sooooo hoping it doesn't go through.

Ugh options are ALWAYS best. Different stores, different sales, lots of competition = happy consumers

Yes! Our local choices will be Walmart or a Kroger owned store. They already own Fred Meyer. If they take over Safeway I hope they keep all of their Safeway Select items as there are some unique products that I really like.
