I installed a 1TB ssd into HB3 and discovered the continuous recording will only work when connected to ethernet. However continuous recording will work if you don't install ssd and just use the 16gb internal memory. 1tb gives me 3 months continuous with one 3K camera S330 floodlight cam. If you do want your hb3 in a location with no ethernet you can simply plug it into a wifi extender then continuous recording is available.

Thank you for the video, very interested in the eufy system. Our concern is our Vodaphone Super hub. It has 2.4ghz 5ghz and 6ghz but you can't switch between them. Eufy system works with 2.4ghz. Did you have to switch off the 5ghz on your router?

Great review. I've currently got a Homebase 2 with 6 cameras connected and ordered a Homebase3. Do you know if you can transfer the cameras to the 3 from the 2 over the app or do you need to do it manually and sync each camera (which is what I needed to do when my first HB2 broke and I got a replacement 2 for it)

What is the advantage of this compared to the cameras in the app? Save it to the HDD I know. But if you want to access the cameras and watch the recordings of the day, are these recordings displayed quickly? Now that I have not yet connected any cameras to the home base, it sometimes takes a while before I can see the history of the cameras in the app. Loading these takes takes quite a while without a home base... does this work faster with the cameras connected to the home base?

Is it possible to use facial recognition so the camera will not record you? My wife is tired of being record 10 to 12 times a day walking around our property.

The only prohibitive problem with Eufy is that there is no feature that allows you to view all its cameras at the same time while almost all security camera systems on the market allow it.

If the wifi for whatever reason turns off does the entire security system collapse?

Why don’t they just bring out Wi-Fi one., because I Only have Wi-Fi broadband or could you take it to your families house for the initial set up and then use Wi-Fi after or not? Bring it back to your home and connect to Wi-Fi afterwards is that possible?

A lot of people now use client isolation on wifi networks especially with this sort of IoT junk. There is NO legitimate reason it would need to be connected to ethernet first, so they are likely mapping networks and collecting MAC addresses to send back and tie to whatever personal data you gave them to setup your account and then sell it to whoever. Chinese company. Only advice would be to dump this thing on its own VLAN and firewall it off from the rest of the network.

Simon my cameras are connected and synced to the Homebase 3, but in the AI empowerment screen does not show my cameras. All on the same network. Also have the latest update in the S380. Any Ideas to get my Floodlight S330 to get AI to work with them?

Is look easy. Only I spend 5 hours trying to connect the homebase 3 to app. The first time it asked to reset the homebase. I get the question to press the sync button for the piepsound and then it just wants to reset again. I bought the dual doorbel with homebase 2 (that one i couldnt install either), so I bought the homebase 3 hoping the problem would go solved. But that one I cant install either. I tried everything I could find, from 5 to 2,4ghz, p2p, enabled DHCP, check firewall, reseting etc. Anyone maybe other ideas I cant try?

My homebase has been flashing blue and red for days. Resetting, turning off the router, etc. didn't help. eufy customer service didn't help either

did the stop stealing peoples images yet ? it is or was a issue of eufy stealing data / images . i have the e340ptz with a good sd card in it and it works great . i just ordered the home base so it has better storage and before i decide what other cameras i want . i probably wont get any for indoor cams due to them up loading our images and pics .

Stay away from Eufy. This garbage just doesnt work. It keeps sending old alarms. And when I open it, it only shows “unable to play video clips”. What a waste!!!

All security companies policy for sending your photo to third party to make money from it? ? What does it say about that? What about that? i guess it makes it safer? I always feel safer by uploading my bio information everywhere i go.
