The S380 HomeBase 3 comes with 16GB of built-in storage. If you want to expand the local storage, you can add an external hard drive with a serial ATA (SATA) interface, supporting capacities of up to 16TB. Popular brands like Western Digital, Seagate, SAMSUNG, Kingston, PNY, and Crucial are recommended. Just ensure that the hard drive meets the specified requirements, including a 2.5-inch size and a maximum power of 6W (5V/1.2A). After installation, you’ll find the expanded storage in the app under HomeBase > Storage Management > Storage > HD

@mrleglove3377 yes, but a negligible amount. You could go online and find a USB C cable with the gasket around it and run power to your camera, or if it doesn't have one already, you could buy an accessory solar panel for it to absorb as much light/power as possible.

I’m 4 days in now, and the battery has already dropped to 44%. Fine-tuning the settings definitely helped reduce unnecessary detections. One question: Does the HomeBase store recordings in 3K resolution now? Okay I like this what you have, but I'm new to it all I need a step-by-step guide I want the home base and a doorbell cam, and maybe 2 or 3 outside cameras to build this over time what is the 1st step? I have nothing yet and was looking a Ring also, but you seem to like this one, and I don't want a bill to pay please help a newbie out.

@mrtrader4628 I do like the home base3! If you're comfortable with electrical I'd recommend. The the floodlight cam too. Otherwise definitely check out the solar cameras they have. I have 3 different ones that I've made videos on that are perfect for different situations.

@scrubs026 if you've followed thr steps I'm not sure what to do. My first guess would be to check firmware. Next would be make sure you're near the lock when connecting, after that I'd reach out to support. They've been super helpful when I needed them

I just installed my HB3 and it doesn't appear to be storing the videos. HD is formatted already. I've recorded videos from my phone and it saves it to my phone. Triggered videos appear to be saved at the camera itself but not on the HB3. All cameras are linked to the HB3. Any thoughts?

Hello everyone. I have also been using the Homebase 3 with a total of 3 cameras for 2 weeks. I have also installed the 1TB hard drive supplied by Eufy in the Homebase 3. About 4 days ago, I suddenly heard the fan roaring very loudly. I then took the Homebase off the network and removed the hard drive again. However, it was only lukewarm and the room was only 20 degrees Celsius / 68 degrees Fahrenheit. So, I reinstalled the hard drive and restarted the Homebase. After 2 hours, the same problems occurred again. The fan noise is so loud that I can hear it throughout the entire house at night. Does anyone else have this problem? I have installed the system version 3.5.0.9 / subsystem version 1.4.0.8. Is there a solution for this?

I have a jerk of a neighbor to say the least and I need a video doorbell that can record when I need to start recording. Motion detection is great but if the person is out of frame I still need to capture the audio and manually start the recording. Is this possible with this product? I can't tell if the bundle on Amazon with the e340 and the home base 3 has the hard drive included or not.

Suggestion for future video's: (1) Connecting other camera's (like HikVision) and (2) how to setup recognition for those cams. I have seen a couple of video's now but I've not seen a web-interface. So more about the app please. And maybe: (3) how to download a section of a recording to send to the police. Is it easy, cause with Hikvision it is DRA-MA :) (that's why I'm switching).

I don't know if it does work with other brand cameras. And downloading videos can be done within the app. Then shared from there

As far as I know there i no web interface for Eufy, only phone app (I do use Android). I do have Eufy ring connected to a Homebase 2. There is have an option to save specific video to your phone. Then you can export it to your PC/Mac Switching to Homebase 3 in a few weeks as the new LTES330 with wifi/4G is compatible only with HB3... I do like very much Eufy. Have also Hickvision through POE network, they do provide different zone control, Hickvision being mainly for external vision, Eufy for ring and internal + 4G option in case the ethernet box goes south... Happened to me when I was at a 1000 Km from home so I had to get home during vacation to ensure nothing weird happened. It was the ethernet box. The 4G option will allow to ensure no one enter the house even if wifi is not working.
