Thank you very much for this video. My brush was so much jammed that the bearing cap would not move. A ton of hair was looped under the bearing. Thankfully no melting damage there except for some scoring on the bearing cap.

@@AlsAutoandAppliance how often do you clean your robots?
@AlsAutoandAppliance4 жыл бұрын
@@GazeboDweeb I would say every other run we have to remove hair. It really diminishes the effectiveness of the brush and it gets to where it doesn't really pick anything up if we let it go longer. As for the bearing, we only had to clean it once since this video was posted.

Hi, I have a problem with the brush as well but not this one. Mine is that the square part is getting rounded and doesn't engage in the transmission (the white part inside), I'm also afraid that the transmission is rounded too. Any suggestion?
@AlsAutoandApplianceАй бұрын
A common issue on these is the square in the gear does get rounded out. The fix for this is to replace the gear (and possibly the brush) or purchase a new motor assembly from eufy (about 20 USD). If you go to thingiverse.com and search 11s Gear (or whichever model you have) you will find printable models to print a replacement gear if you wanted to try that route first.

It's the other end of my brush that won't spin freely. I did follow your video and confirm the bearing and cap side was clean. Any idea why the other end won't spin freely?
@AlsAutoandAppliance7 ай бұрын
The other side does not spin. That side (square protrusion) engages with the transmission that's inside the robot. Are you getting a fault?

This is how they keep people buying new brushes.. Sigh. My Roomba brush (and rubber thingy) lasted well over 3 years before I had to replace it. Eufy recommends replacing the brush every 6 months, filters 1 month. I can think of plenty of other things that I could spend my money on instead, such as a meal at the local pizzeria. There's no reason at all that these parts should be replaced so often. Even the brush guard is designed to malfunction after a certain while. It's disgusting.
@AlsAutoandAppliance4 жыл бұрын
I agree 100% on this. With that said, roomba has started using rubber brushes that seem to work very well and they are super easy to clean too.

I just bought eufy 30 and noticed that the side brushes sweep the wheels every rotation. Will this deposit dirt and hair into the wheel base? Yes. Will this reduce the time before maintenance is required? Yes. Amazonbasics rb1 runs with far less maintenance, though it doesn't have the carpet beater brush so it's not directly comparable. I found a good maintenance video suggesting that a crevice tool will vacuum dirt lodged around the wheels. kzbin.info/www/bejne/iJ21ZJ-rYpKkfrc
