I think their answer above is like if your carpet is higher than 12mm you would probably want to vacuum 1st then mop. The brushes might get cleaned with the mop water, I don't know.

Im talking about the main brushes and the spinning brush as well what if those run over something nasty are they cleaned automatically or something or are they just gone clean the mop heads and those stay dirty and run over your carpet

With the multiple maps if you map a different floor do you need to move the home station for it to work? Or will it just go and do what it should with out the use of the home station

Why is it so hard to find a video of where the Alexa voice commands are being used? I guess my million-dollar question is can you send it to a specific room using your voice with Alexa to clean that room like i can with my shark?? If so then I'm all in luv the features

I think that will be tricky for any robot vacuum to do a great job since it will be at an angle to the floor.

May I ask what was your issue? My x8 Hybrid is shutting down completely after 15 minutes of use.

@@omarrahman5694 Overall it's very loud. Battery seems much less than the previous model I had (L35 Hybrid +) and it has no object detection like this one. It ran over poop twice and spread it throughout the entire apartment.

@@thorntech Yikes, I can see your pain. Definitely have interest in this one. My main issue is wires getting in the way and being able to run the schedule while i'm at work.

If you move floors, you will need to move it back to the floor with the base station to clean the mop. Dry vacuming is no problem though. I can do a whole floor in my experience.

No robot vacuum is going to handle that well. If you've got a huge mess, you'll need to clean it up another way. Most likely it will simply avoid it and label it as pet poop.

The differences lie mostly in the software like obstacle avoidance, and how well the app is built. Robot vacuums have come such a long way in the last few years!

That's a good deal! I think it's the best robot < $1,000. The navigation is top of the class.

Seems pretty decent. Only big miss is requiring vacuum bags. I have large dogs and the estimated "2 months" and similar other manufacturers give are very off for my use-case. I get a couple of weeks. So anything besides bagless is a no buy from me these days.

I wonder if you could tape a small garbage bag around the cardboard that slides into the top after removing the bag it came with, and let it empty a weeks worth then shake it to the bottom of the bag and let the bag hang outside of the top with lid closed as much as it can. You might be able to get more than a couple of weeks that way. If it would work, that is. You would probably have to keep the bag as flat as possible on the part that lies over the opening. Does that make sense. I can see it in my mind. I would draw it if it would let me here.

For < $1000 the eufy X10 is very good. It's not perfect though. You'll need to change the map when you move floors, and it will try to find the dock to refill with water when on another floor. However, that's common with most robots.

Eufy is owned by Anker. FYI, by default uploading photos is turned off. The x10 is privacy certified by TÜV Rheinland, a German company.

@@vacuumnerds TÜV is not really a company, it is a organisation that testing things. The main thing they do, is to test every car, motorcycle and so on… everything what drive on street every 2 years, if it is still safe (break, light,…) Second main thing is testing drivers, just if they say: yes it is ok like you drive, you weil get your licence. And if TÜV check something like that cleaner here… this only means, it is safe to use. Not more…. Sooo yes it is useless ;) Greetings from Germany

The mop pads lift 12mm which is about the height of low pile carpet. If your carpet is thicker, you could vacuum first and then mop after and avoid the carpet.

I think the question is, what happens to the side brush while mopping? In the video, while mopping the coffee stain, the side brush can be observed rotating through the coffee stain. Had this happened with wet coffee, when the x10 moves to the rug, wouldn’t the side brush end up brushing coffee onto the rug? This is a big question I have for all robo vacuum/mop combos that no reviewer seems to cover.
