This is becoming my favourite guitar based KZbin channel. Just honest and straight to the point. I have this amp and tried swapping out tubes but ended up putting original and decided don’t fix something that ain’t broke. Run it through 2 notes captor and push through different amps and it’s awesome.

Great demo! Just a quick clarification based on something you said. The original Mark IIC+ Simulclass power sections had the Class A pair wired triode, and the Class A/B pair wired Pentode. "Simulclass" is the blending of these two. However, the 60w, 100w, & 180w IIC+ power sections were all straight Class A/B pentode.

Really cool intro song! Nice riffs. Some of those riffs are stuff I do, so that was cool to see you doing it too. The MT15 amp punches above it's weight-class. Some people have suggested it puts-out more than 15 watts. Maybe it does. Out of all these smaller tube amps, I think my favorite might be the ENGL Fireball 25. Yes it really has that Rectifier vibe. It's also might be interesting for you to know that there is a huuge difference between rectifiers built in different times. The older revision F rectifiers sound a lot more in your face, aggressive and more like a JCM800 with more gain than more recent ones. Those older ones are the reason why rectifiers are used in modern metal so often. Sold mine and bought an ENGL Screamer, they do a better Lead and shred tone.

Hi tubeaddicted485. I am an Engl Screamer 50 combo user. Do you think is it worth to ex-change to PRS MT-15? Which amp is more versatile in your opinion? Is this PRS louder than 50watt Engl? I will be grateful for your comment.

how it compares to amp1 iridium ?
@EugeValovirta230V3 жыл бұрын
AMP1 is a hundred watt beast and tones from crystal cleans - plexi style slam - JCM800 style crunch and modern hi gain so can’t really compare ’cos a different ballgame 😎.

@@EugeValovirta230V i was between mt115 , fireball 25 and iridium before 3 months and all i had to compare was videos in youtube and in my ears iridium always sounded perfect to my ears so i bought iridium wihich is awesome, is like is made ready for live or recording as i never felt the need to eq anything outsides its eq controls. So i guess I chose right for what I need . Thanks for the reply I love your channel!

Not my style, too saturated. BUT it's insane quality and value for money for people who want tones like this, damn!

I say 800 then 5150 then MT15. In that order.

Would you recomend this amp as the best solution for mini amps that are currently in offers? I planning to get rid of amp sim plugins, they became extremely boring to me , and always ending with mixing more the overal tone then needed ending it sounds less raw, which i`m not really fond of.

It’s a great amp but I’m more of a Marshall guy and JCM800 2203 is my all time favourite amp so if I’d want something smaller I’d go with the Studio Series 800: kzbin.info/www/bejne/l5e8eZWCqtCihNU And a BOSS SD-1 😎🤟.
