If you look at old concerts from the 90s. The setlist is stacked and every song is a certified banger. Absolutely zero fills. I was lucky enough to catch them everytime they came through town in the 90s and those concerts were extremely loud and his tone just cut through the entire building. It was searingly high and would just level everything.

Dime was a great guy talked to him several times in my life. I met him at a club in Arlington in 1988 His girlfriend was a waitress and bartender at the club we were playing at called Metalworks. We had a Pantera song in our set and she said to wait to play the Pantera song till dime gets here I am gonna call dime and have him come down and check ya'll out. we were all sceptical thinking she was pulling our leg and low and behold 30 min later in walks Dime. I talked to him for prob 20 min He was the nicest person I have ever met in my life. He set your mind at ease like you have known him your whole life. I talk to him several other times after that through the years and I can tell you he would be so happy and proud you did what you just did on breaking his style down. I guarantee if he was still alive he would have jumped right in and played with you. that was Dime. awesome video. bro.

That's the secret to HUGE tight tone. Mid boost up front to cut flub & fizz. Then post-gain bass & treble boost to emphasize the harmonics & fatten it all back up. I've found the two best tools for this are an EQ in front & another in the FX loop. (Just like a Mesa Mark).

Your video seems to resonate with happiness as it shakes because even the gently fluttering leaves are so good. Do you like guitar and harmonica sounds? When I saw your video, I secretly approached my lonely heart, planted love, and walked alone on the fallen leaves of autumn, immersed in my memories. A video on KZbin that an algorithm guided me to. I would like to give you praise and support with my sincerity and sincerity through a precious relationship. No one cares, and my sad and lonely guitar and harmonica playing is only going on with difficulty, step by step. My dream of playing shows no hope at all, but when the blue dawn starlight illuminates my heart another day, I hold my old guitar in my arms and gently attach a cold harmonica to my lips. In the middle of the dark morning, I sit alone and play harmonica and guitar. The video I'm watching right now is the best and the best. Surprisingly, you have a wonderful talent that is full of the strange charm of your video. Do you like the sound of guitar and harmonica? When I saw your video, you came to my lonely heart secretly, planted love and left, walking alone on the fallen leaves in the fall, immersed in memories. When the sleeping stars in the blue purple dawn sky were shining, I looked at your video and I felt like I was rowing across the Milky Way in a row of happiness, so it was very good. ? I enjoyed your video as beautiful as a star and happy as a dream. I hope your video will bloom as a flower in my heart and stay as a flower of undying love for a long time. When I first see your video that I met by chance, I can feel the beautiful love that is coming from somewhere.

Me too. It’s my own design and one of a kind 😊👍. But I think Kerry used something similar back in the days.

I never understood how the term groove metal was decided to be the name given to the genera of metal pantera pioneered until this video when your explaining how to play walk and how the dime way was different and playing them both side by side by a man that can actually do it justice and you then look at the camera and say it just groves and that’s the moment it all made sense after 20 years of wondering hahaha love your content

@@EugeValovirta230V let me share my settings for getting close to the Dime sound (following this article: www.ultimate-guitar.com/en/wiki/Pantera_-_Cowboys_From_Hell#Guitar). The rig is Javkson KV1 with passive Duncan JB4s, caline 10-band EQ before the amp, TSL602 with Celestion Wolverines. EQ: 31, 62, 8K, 16K Hz all the way down, 125, 500 and 2K Hz about +4, 250 Hz about +3, 1 and 4K Hz about +6, Gain about +10. Amp red channel: Gain 7-8, Treble 9, Mids 2-3, Bass 7-8, Shift On. Amp power section: Reverb 2, Presence 9-9.5, Deep On. note: My pre-amp tubes are a random collection of leftovers but in V1 I have a Tung Sol. Sounds pretty good...:)

Man, that’s crazy, you’ve got a TSL sounding pretty damn close to Dime here, props. Have you seen Olas video where he goes for Dimes tone using all his gear? Pretty cool, a lot of that stuff is super old, hard to find, and to be honest was kinda shitty when it was new lol. Dime was one of the few guys that was legendary in his rhythms AND leads. By the way, that camo V is beyond sick, that reverse banana headstock is fantastic!

Thanks! Yeah the sound is mostly in the hands of each player. I mostly watch NHL from YT so most likely not 😎.
