Am I the only one who thinks this show's format is monotonous? They keep meeting up at restaurants or hosting dinner, just eating all the time. It doesn't feel authentic. We need to see more of their lives, the reasons they are famous, their work, their projects. We don't know anything outside of them eating and stirring drama. The show should do more to especially be promotional for South Africa and the culture of these "celebrities"

Agreed. We should all be very honest: if we are considering surrogacy, you have to vet. One of the reasons surrogacy is uncomfortable is for EXACTLY this reason. You go to a sperm donor or facility and you vet their genetics, their career, their schooling even their childhood. But for a man to do it for a surrogacy, which he has the right to be serious or even curious about, it is a bad thing. We should take the plank out of our own eye before we try and revise the speck in someone else’s eye

So my cousin went through surrogacy and it is like holding auditions... there is a lot more to it than sperm donations because you need to choose the person you feel is right for your family. You are going to be attached to that person for 9 months, taking them to appointments, making sure they are doing all the right things in taking care of themselves and the baby, you will be in contact with them 24/7. You need to know they are healthy and can carry a child. You may even have them at your baby shower. So I 100% think Ini blew this way out of proportion. It is not our place to judge Luis for wanting to choose this path. We don't know what his life was like growing up so I am never going to judge. Maybe he is ready for a family but has not found the right woman, and doesn't want to trap a woman and be a baby daddy like Diamond (which I actually respect). If he is ready, he's ready.

Luis made the mistake to bring Ini, someone he does not know very well… to an event where he is potentially vetting surrogates. In turn, he helped himself by bringing Shakib. Surrogacy is a tender subject and I empathize with Luis’ intentions as a woman but also as a sister in Christ. Shakib was excellent in this by being a friend as well as GENTLY telling and showing him that there are other more traditional opportunities that he should take advantage of as a young man. That is friendship: you may not agree but I will help you make the best decision and give you guidance along the way. For him to expect Ini, a complete stranger, to give him that respect was perhaps a big ask. So happy Shakib is there to put some sensitivity and nuance to this. (As you can see I am a Shakib and Luis sympathizer, no slander is accepted here 😁)
