Hi thanks for reply comment, S912 I just noticed we have een though manual is for S905, yes I use both Super and Standard 8, some film have a sound strip down left side, although not sure if projector is working 100% as not hearing any sound from film, although only played one so far with a sound strip, speaker seems ok, as for other problem, I worked it w out somehow a reel of film had beeen twisted, perofated holes were on left side as you look from behind projector. Fixed that., Ta Phil

Hi, nice video, I have same unit, my father's old one, I've run into a problem with one of his reels, it is projecting the film upside down, it is super 8 as there is I believe a sound track strip on opposite side to where the perforated holes are for projector to grab film, I tried winding it onto another reel using the rewind part that lifts up, what one uses to rewind a film when finished viewing, didn't help, any suggestions appreciated if you can help me out, thanks Phil

me gustaría finalizar este ciclo de super 8 aprendiendo a plasmar esas imágenes proyectadas y poder tenerlas en mi cámara digital sin tener que utilizar todo tipo de cables y no utilizar el ordenador para nada , sólo para editar lo ya visto en las pelis.Gracias por compartir lo que sabéis.

Hi, sorry I never got back, but You Tube never sent me a email saying you had replied. I only use Super 8 with sound. I did learn to get sound working, I had to clean the sound head on projector,. I just wonder have you ever tried to use what is called the Inching Knob on rear of projector? Reading manual it is supposed to enable one to pause the film without burning it. That knob is playing up I think as only way I can get projector going is to turn it first, not the project knob, it is actually like one has to wind it up with that inching knob, to get motor to kick in, which is not right. Do you know anything about inner workings of projector? If not, thanks anyway Phil

Hi again, wonder if you mind helping again, couple of queries, what would stop the spindle of projector turning when you switch power on and switch to forward or reverse? Is that something to do with inching knob on back? & What could I check to see why I hear no sound from films, films have a sound strip on opp side to perforated holes, my father always put his own sound on, manual says to press these red buttons for some cleaning pad, but that didn't help, I do hear noise from speaker.Ta Phil

En el proyector Eumig 905S que yo compré de esta misma clase no funciona el audio . Es una rotura o defecto costoso económicamente de reparar ? le he quitado la tapa como en el vídeo y no parece tener los cables por dentro en alguna zona igual y me sorprende al ser el mismo modelo.

Hola Cristina, te cuento que yo tengo un proyector como este, pero el modelo S903, era de mis padres, lo tenia guardado hace varios años y hace unos dias lo puse en marcha para mostrarselo a mis hijos, y me lleve la sorpresa que me pasaba lo mismo que a vos, no me andaba el audio. En mi caso fue simplemente un componente en mal estado de la fuente de alimentación, si tenes algun conocido que entienda un poco de electronica te puedo dar instrucciones para que puedan revisarlo. Te cuento que otro problema que tuve es que se le rompió un engranaje interno, que por suerte pude imprimir un reemplazo con la impresora 3D. Saludos desde Argentina.

Hi, thanks for reply, It is the film, it displays upside when I play it on projector, but it must of been filmed that way or at least some of it, not ran it all the way through the whole reel yet, my dad used to connected films together onto larger reels.I am hoping it is just this one section. Seperate question, do you ever get film coming out front of projector when you are feeding a new reel of film into it? Or do I have a fault in projector? Thanks Phil

Yo tengo el mismo Eumig ,has intentado capturar con una cámara digital las imágenes proyectadas?yo si y es terrible el parpadeo ,como se evita ese parpadeo ?

el problema deriva en la sincronía entre los frames por segundo a los que estás proyectando y los frames por segundo a los que estás capturando con tu cámara digital actual; es decir, debes de sincronizar las velocidades para evitar ese parpadeo. Hay proyectores que tienen regulador de velocidad ( mediante reostator ) con los que puedes regular la velocidad de proyección, y hay cámaras que puedes bajar y subir los frames por segundo a la hora de grabar ( por regla general en cámaras de indole profesional ). Yo he realizado capturas de material proyectando a 18fps y capturando con una JVC profesional a 50 fps en progresivo. Cada cual tiene su técnica, basandonos en esa sincronía de la que te he comentado al inicio. Es una forma de digitalización rápida y barata. Yo siempre recomiendo la digitalización por escaneado a la mayor resolución del momento. Pues es la única manera de obtener la mayor calidad. @@clauespinosa2863 yo he visto uno por 70 euros en mil anuncios , se supone que funciona a veces no cuentan todo de estos aparatos y te puedes llevar una sorpresa como me llevé yo, todo muy bien embalado pero el proyector por dentro estaba el metal salmitrado, no tiene sonido en fin un timo y eso no se hace,.

It's used together with the record button. As long as the tric button is in the max position and the indicator light is off - as it is at 1:18 - the record function works as expected: You record sound on the film and if there already was any sound it is erased completely. If you dial the tric button counterclockwise, and the indicator turns on, recording will only partially erase the sound track. The more you turn the tric button the less it will erase. That way you can mix two or more layers of sound together on the sound track. The only problem is that since you record sounds onto the same track you cannot separate them again, so if you make a mistake you will have to record everything all over again.

Do you always use super 8 movies?, This projector only supports super 8, you can not use standard 8. Do not quite understand your last question, I think it may be problem of drive pins.
