Such beautiful art. Definitely a personal favorite of mine. Do a longer one if you can, this is awesome.

Do you need specialist insurance because it's a Eunos import ?
@batousan_4 жыл бұрын
No not at all, I just put the reg in and it comes up, if not just explain that its an import mx5. I've used a number of insurers now. Just mentioning its an import hasn't caused me any issues, my other car is with a mainstream insurer, also an import model that wasn't even sold outside of Japan unlike the Eunos. Both are cheap to insure too.

batousan another question is that there is a Eunos roadster near where I live. It's a 1991 car with 45k miles on the clock, but it's an automatic transmission. Would it be worth converting it to a manual, or should I not bother?
@batousan_4 жыл бұрын
@@aleddavies770 I would say no, the automatics had different compression I think so less power... which on this cars is important, as they don't have much :)

@@batousan_ as far as I know its the ecu limiting the power of an automatic. Swapping to manual with manual ecu should give as much hp as original manual because the engines are exactly the same
@batousan_3 жыл бұрын
@@duanemonsels9394 No. The 1.8s are the same, the 1.6 auto have different cams and slightly lower compression the ecu changes on top provided different a torque band for the auto. Also bear in mind, jdm, usdm, and aus markets will probably vary a lot so DYOR. However, most important part is a solid rust free chassis and body. Engines/gearboxes can be picked up for not too much money. Going through the faff of changing the gearbox, ecu, different keys/barrels/locks just seems like a waste of effort unless you get it cheap and its mint.
