After seeing that stream, I also purchased some Fuana Marin RTN/STN X and dipped a torch and goni that weren't looking as healthy as normal. Seeing a little improvement after my first dip.

Great video. I'm glad you made this video bro . I'm glad this will help others who my have some of the same issues with torches. If anyone knows about bacteria it's Ryan. I trust his method. And it's proven to work. Thanks for making this video. Much respect to you Devin. Cheers buddy.. 🍻

Good luck. The only time I seem to recover them is when Ive stuck them in another tank and expected them to deteriorate but they bounced back without anything obvious in parameters. So eah pretty sure its bacteria that we dont yet measure/understand properly. i think therefore in tthe water co lumn and if we add the treated coral back to the tank it will still not like that bacterial balance
@ReefDudes2 жыл бұрын
Could be, i have also heard of others using chemiclean as a dip which is antibacterial as well. so there is some merrit to this therory

Couldn’t rtn/stn be done in tank treatment? I recently done a low dosage of cipro in tank prevent further lost on other euyphillias Recently had BJD.

Maybe.. but I’m assuming this concentration is much higher than in tank concentration the bottle suggests

how did it go?!~
@frgggggdsedd6913 Жыл бұрын
@@ReefDudes great the only thing is on the 2nd day instead of using aquarium water to mix chemiclean i mixed it in rodi and I had 0.2ppm ammonia next day and corals closed up half way but the 3rd day i did it with aquarium water for chemiclean and rodi for the other 2 antibiotic and today all corals open…not sure if its thats why or it messed with the nitrifying bacteria but as soon as I dosed the bacteria yday everything is open today….no point of dipping in kfc it its in ur tank already…the kfc dip is only when u buy corals and u dip it if its already in ur tank there is no point of dipping then putting it back in that bacteria infested water. I recommend it! But one thing I would change is instructions say microbacter 7 dr tims etc, I would avoid microbacter 7 as this is not nitrifying bacteria…instead get bio spira for 1 day, next day dr tims and next day fritz turbo start (refrigerated).
@wabniky9 ай бұрын
@@frgggggdsedd6913 I'm going to take on the in tank treatment here soon, also following this advice as well with the nitrifying bacteria, is there a certain order to that combination? I would assume the RTN/STN X treatment first in the localized area with the flow off then when the flow is turned back on you would add the nitrifying bacteria?

Hey Devan I have a question can we keep torches in an Acropora dominated tank. With sps lightning conditions and flow conditions????
@ReefDudes2 жыл бұрын
You for sure can, you just have to place them properly, further from lights/power heads so they get less intensity compared to the acros
