I've been to Crescent City and the Redwood Forest. My son's father-in-law has family in that area. I think a tsunami hit there when he was a little boy. I almost forgot about that. We may take this drive if we ever get out to visit our son again. Hubby wants to see San Francisco, so we may do the 101 from there to southern Oregon

You're getting close to Fortuna where you got your big wifi antenna. I haven't been able to use mine since the campgrounds are so deep in the woods. Thousand Homeless Trails campgrounds have wifi but only at the lodge. So I go without or go up to the lodges. You're almost home scoobie.

congrats on the elks...its a good organization and help a lot of good folks.... i like to travel no more than 150 miles a day....it can take 8 hours with stops sightseeing.... now if i am traveling for time...then i do 400 plus a day
