@@southernhood5145 Just came in the mail about an hour ago, along with the matching footprint. Got mine on sale too when I asked for a discount from GearUpForOutDoors (Thunderbay ON). Now to wait for a proper sunny day to go and set it up so I can do a proper seamsealing etc...just for that extra layer against the elements!

Big eureka fan. Have the El Cap . Really a great company for tents . Their backpacks seem like an afterthought and are kinda crap. Seems almost like one company runs the tent department and another runs the packs.

well, what happened to the SOLO AL then? Probably one of the worst ideas for a tent going...it's a bivvy being marketed as a tent. Only thing it may be useful for is a stealth camping unit...and even then you best seamseal that thing large, as I heard it even leaks.

Of coarse a good quality mid-range price tent is going to be that...yet EVEN THOUGH as individual units CAN differ occasionally...you should always do a seamsealing on a nice sunny day...just ads that next layer of goodness. I have some seamsealer, yet I was thinking maybe get another can with the fireproof version also, use the regular version on my packs/jackets...I think the tent should probably have the fireproofing version as I will be using stoves in the vestibule most likely (evernew alcohol etc).

Great value. I like the Big Agnes Bikepack tent too: Much more money though. What area is that where you are: like Mississippi or Georgia..I like the pine trees?

Just ordered this tent but I still have one unanswered question about it. Could you tell me the total packing length of the poles? I can't find that info anywhere.

Looking at mine seems to be about 1 1/3 Ft...yet I do have the 2021 version, so maybe slight difference? Ah, just wrote this and then notice you had on response answering that...well, looks like I was accurate at least :)
