Mo is correct about Bruno G being slow. People mistake tackling, ball progression for being very athletic. Bruno G is fluid athlete but also slow & not the most athletic. He has alot of legs around him and he's good at cleaning up + winning the ball back & has great qualities on the ball. Similarly if Enzo + Jorginho being put in that Newcaste team would have there weaknesses & lack of pace hidden playing next to great athletes in Joelinton, Willock, Miley and also workhorses like Longstaff. Jorginho + Enzo are both great ball winners, tacklers & elite when it comes to ball progression. But we all know there weakness, especially because they have had the legs next to them injured for long periods. (Bruno G is more athletic then Jorginho, also Enzo). Bruno G came to the Emirates without Joelinton and he struggled badly with Arsenal press. He kept getting robbed off the ball by Declan Rice who used his athleticism to cut the distance on him every time. Either Rice or Jorginho kept taking it from him. Saka, Martinelli, Havertz, Rice, Odegaard, Jorginho press that game was ridiculous. Arsenal press pinned Newcastle in there own half the entire first half, suffocated them. Bruno G looked so slow, he looked like Enzo slow. He had no answers. He couldn't string 1 or 2 passes together or properly find an outlet, or draw fouls. Isak did not get any passes into him. Bruno G was useless that game & was breathing out of his behind after 30 minutes. Bruno G has fluidity + good technical ability + great attacking qualities where I can see him scoring 10+ goals from midfield playing a more advanced role at a club like City. He has more qualities with the ball, with his passing, attacking talent then Nunes at City whose best qualities is his ball carries. Bruno G a similar mold of player to Gundogan. Bruno G passing is elite, great passer in transition too. He was there game changing signing that elevated them to that UCL/Europa level club.

Bruno G is slow running but quick on the ball, that's why he needs Joelinton or Willock around him. He is not good at long shots at all. He is not a nasty person, he is literally one of the nicest people you could meet, he has a nasty streak on the pitch. Newcastles average possession was 52% this season even with the injuries so this idea Newcastle don't have the ball in nonsense.
