Croatia has had more success at world cups ,but in my opinion they have actually played better in the euros. They were so good when they lost to Turkey ,they would have won it all. Also played great when they lost to Portugal in extra time ,very bad luck.

Why? cause we won silverware in the last 2 Worldcups, and we made it out of the group 2021 with a very low form. To put this in perspective... Only three teams were able to get back to back silverware in a World Cup for the last 40 years, and those teams are Brazil, France and CROATIA. Now keep in mind Croatia is an independent nation since 91 and only startet competing in major tournaments from 1998 (finished 3rd Place btw). And still we werent singing its coming home since the the 70s, also you based your Statement on a comment on youtube.... Croatia is not a team to judge on qualifying as they always have there ups and downs. Last Euros there was some internal turmoil with some veteran players which almost lead Dalic to quit. They still qualified from their group and lost in extra time to Spain. This time around the atmosphere seems good like in the last World Cup. Modric is still playing at a high level so as long as that is the case they have a chance. There best players are in good form but they still don’t have great quality up front. Perisic was their most effective player but he’s coming off a major injury and is not in form. The goals will have to come from Kramiric and Budimir who both had good seasons for their clubs. It will be interesting to see where Gvardiol plays as he’s been really good for City as an attacking leftback. For Croatia he’s mostly played center back.

This narrative about Croatia's "last dance" every Euro or WC is one of the more annoying lies in modern football. Croatia doesn't even have an old team and has made a full generational switch from 2018, except for Modric. Extremely tiring.

Geez, where have I heard that before🤣? England’s 2024 side is Stella, no argument there, they should win it. Don’t be foolish & underestimate Croatia 🇭🇷 though. This young fella reckons Croatia are always a massive underdog. Ridiculous, they’re never an underdog, they’re expected to win, no underdog garbage. At their worst, their A grade players have usually played in 2-5 different leagues around the world 🌍, which brings a plethora of experience, that’s at their worst. At their best, we know how good they are. Yes, the team’s in transitional mode, but.never, never underestimate them. If they eventually do play England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿, sure, England’s team is Stella, but there’ll be heaps of nervous lions fans out there, I can already sense their shakes.

I think I deserve a right to reply on these comments, which I find quite surprising. I did not conclusively state England would be Croatia, I am simply making a tournament prediction. They may not even play England, if they finish 1st or 3rd in the group. I always call Croatia underdogs, I mean you are. You can take it as an insult if you like, but in no tournament have you been in the top 5/6 in terms of odds to win. I do not underestimate Croatia at all, there are very few teams I would want to face less than them. You beat us in 2018, we beat you in 2021. It will be a close match if we meet again imo. And lastly, let it be known that I am a major supporter of Croatia. The support from your nation's people on my videos has been insane and now I am actively routing for you in every match (except England). I hope this clears up any speculation that I am anti-Croatia, because I am the complete opposite! Thank you both for watching :)

Like I said in my previous post, England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 is killing it at the moment, personally, I think it’s their best chance yet. But that’s not to say they won’t be there next time, Croat’s as well, they won’t be in a transitional stage for too long ( they’re not a flash in the pan ). I’m also a harsh critic of my team, everyone was wrapped that they keep making it to the finals/& semi’s, it’s not good enough, we need a trophy 🏆. I think this is more a play on the end of the Croatian cycle. The last of the 2018 greats, Croatia will of course remain a feared team :)

@@intothefray12 Honestly, have you given the roster a good look? The entire defense has been revamped, with many young players. Check out Gvardiol, Sutalo, Erlic, Pongracic, Stanisic, Juranovic, and Sosa. There is a 16 year old CB, Luka Vuskovic, signed by Tottenham for $20M. Check out Luka Sucic and Martin Baturina. Younger than 22 year old Gvardiol. Marco Pasalic and Luka Ivanusec. Majer is not old either. As to the starting midfield, Brozovic is 31 and Kovacic is 30. These are prime years, even if closer to peak. Fine, Modric is 38, but he's a special player who still brings something extra. Moreover, older players like Vida and Persic are not starters, but can be serviceable if needed as subs. Nothing is guaranteed. Croatia could bomb. But it won't be because they're too old. I however think this is a balanced Croatia...having two in form strikers in Kramaric and Budimir, not world class, but give offensive capability we didn't have in the 2022 WC. Let's see.

croatia is definitely not aging. Our entire defense and most of our forwards are young. Midfield is about half young half old. Qualifiers for this euro were rough because of injuries. Croatia has never been in better shape now.

Budimir ? Ha, the guy might be good in the Spanish league, but he's not nearly as good for Croatia as he is for his team. I hope Dalić plays something more like this : Livaković Sosa - Gvardiol - Šutalo - Stanišić Brozović Brozović - Kovačić - Modrić Oršić - Kramarić Valuable subs : Perišić (has been injured for some time), Petković (a machine, but limited in terms of usage for the NT, can be used against smaller teams), Juranović (sometimes more consistent for NT than Stanišić), Erlić (good sub for Šutalo), Baturina (next generation MF, very talented kid), Marco Pašalić (next generation FW, great skills) As a Croat, we're looking at another podium here.

The team has excellent players, but the gaps in quality between Gvardiol and Sutalo, Stanisic and Sosa, Modric and Ivanusec are huge. The question is are the strong players pulling the weaker ones up or the weaker players the stronger ones down? In general not enough striker quality as Kramaric is in a great form but not delivering consistently enough.

Vida is benched now, kramarić and kovačić were benched in 2018 and more and more people believe that brozović should be benched with kovacic and modric playing behind more offensive midfielder. This already is a new croatia from 2018, only 5 players remained so the 2018 team is long gone already :/ People call croatia old/ageing cause they see modrić and perišić, most of the sqaud is
